All those lifted beasts with decent big tires, Built for the job. Old rangy sport toodles up, drinking a Pimm's and lemonade, wearing Pirelli street tires, like it's on the way home from a Polo match, but a mountain got in the way. So it just went over it!

People need to remember. This generation of Land Rovers are basically the most off road capable vehicles out of the box next to a Wrangler. LandCruisers and Patrols don't do what these things can do in standard form

Absolutely, couldn't agree more mate. Factory rear diff lock, independent suspension that still withholds 10 inches of flex front and rear, traction control that rivals any other manufacturers by far and air suspension that works a dream. This generation of land rovers uphold reliability especially in the drivelines. Couldn't complain for the pricetag nowadays.

Awesome mate. Just got myself a tdv8 over in Wales. So happy to see how capable they are in stock form. I picked the sport over a overland set up pajero as I felt the comfort would be better for the family. But now I'm happy that I've seen how awesome off road it is too. 👍🏻

The Pajeros are a great car I must say, but overall to the most bang for your buck a range rover sport is such a great option. You'll never be disappointed, I've never gone astray with it! Great to hear you enjoyed the video my friend! Thanks for watching :)

Followed your link from the Disco FB page. Impressive vehicles, eh!? No fuss, no bother with the hard stuff. All class. The only time my D4 SDV6 got stuck was due to old and warn tyres. All on 19" I might add. Now with Compo 18's and some decent Pirelli AT+, it's unstoppable. BTW - if you want more articulation, drop it in low range. That will open the cross-valve on the air suspension. Looking forward to more vids!

Having owned a 2009 tdv8 sport from almost new ( sold now ) I was nervous for you on a couple of those sections. Is yours a 6 ? The Range Rover handled it unbelievably well, and you drove it incredibly well letting the car do the work. I might have to pick up a TDV6 as a second car 😊 and btw the girl who put the bundy can on the bonnet....disgraceful. Hope you post a few more

Glad you enjoyed the video mate, it's always great hearing feedback and great to hear that you've enjoyed! My range rover is a 2007 TDV8 and yes you should absolutely get another! It's an amazing 4bie and I quite agree, considering it was the only standard vehicle there with the smallest tyres it handled it very well and its good to hear that you could see how well the traction control works. Haha yes, the can on the bonnet was quite discraceful... And yes there will be many more videos to come this is just the start!

Hello ! Very impressive for a stock car. When you rock crawling, should the dsc switch off as in the sand ?

Thank you very much, the DSC stays on for rock crawl mode but if you're in sand I suggest having it turned off for most situations. 👍

Glad you enjoyed! Car is incredible and bigger tyres aren't required unless you're going extreme 😂 but, info-wise I have recently fitted 32 inch tyres on 20 inch rims which you will see in upcoming videos.. Minimum rim size is 18 inch on most but if you have the brembo brakes you have to modify the brakes to make them fit (that's why I went 20 inch rim). The tyre size I fitted is 275/55R20 Which lightly scrubs on the inner guards. Any more questions feel free to ask!

@@RockySectionAdventures hey supernice - thanks for the round up! What Engine ist Yours? Our Engine Died at 150k Km some Weeks ago - crankshaft ripped... as i learned a widespread thing with the SDV6... let me know if you need more infos on that

@@danielpfeffer1255 hey mate so sorry I didn't see your reply till now! Yeah I've heard the same thing, and it's true. The tdv6 ones aren't any good really they suffer in a few areas and they are all related to engine and gearbox failures. Which is sad given when they are running fine they are such a great car! Mine is a tdv8 which now has over 300,000km on it and it is mechanically sound. In fact, the engine and gearbox are both like new; Even after towing a 3.5t caravan across Australia for a bit there. The model I have is a 2007 TDV8 Range Rover Sport, I absolutely love the tdv8! Best motor to have, so economical, powerful and quiet (unless you put an aftermarket exhaust).

Depends on who you ask. I’ve had mine for 8 years and it’s the best vehicle I’ve ever owned. Never seen dealership. I maintain it myself. No major issues besides regular maintenance.
