9.500RPM VW Golf Mk1 Evo || Onboard 300Hp/790Kg NA Monster

Күн бұрынJurgen Halbartschlager drives one of the most impressive Golf Mk1 units in Europe and has been dominating the E1-2000 Class of the highly competitive Austrian HillClimb Championship. Now with an even more aggressive Aero package featuring more pronounced Front splitter, Rear diffuser and the quite unique side fins, this is also one of the coolest looking Mk1 Golfs you´ll see nowadays.
Other than that, it is still a screaming hatchback Monster, powered by a 2.0L Naturally Aspirated Engine capable of around 300Hp/9.500Rpm to move under 800Kg. With all this power distributed to the front wheels through a 6-speed Sequential Gearbox, it is certainly an icredibly impresive machine as you can see on this Onboard footage taken from Pollauberg HillClimb this year.
Oh and there´s a secret Weapon too.. look at the Top Right corner inside the car...

I have a Mk1, drop the suspension 40mm. I'll pretty much corner any thing at any speed. Brilliant little things

If only it had another 100hp this thing would be one of THE cars to beat. NA, sticks to the ground like glue, corners as if it was a monorail, no body sway whatsoever. This is a solid car, very well done to the team that created this machine, they did a fantastic job. I wish them success in the future. Thanks for another amazing video :)

No body roll at all. Mk1 Golf is the best golf ever made. Its light, its naturally nippy, build quality is good. But this one in the video is a beast.

Without doubt one of the most developed and spectacular Mk1 Golf's out there.Corners like it's on rails,very fast and with skilled and fearless driver-doesn't get any better.Both onboard and outside shots are awesome and i like the way they switch.

I love this car so much... I;ve owned a LOT of MK1 and 2 VW's but never gone to this extreme of a build. This car makes me want to go off the deep-end with one again.

A buddy of mine had one back in the early 1980's in California.... Around here they were called the rabbit and people would modify them. I was in my teens and it was the first stick shift car I had driven.......

ABF Block, although extensively modified ( much in same manner of the Audi A4 STW engine units).

Honda S2000 engine? I'm not sure the golf 2 litre would be capable of 150bhp/L. What is gearbox please?
