Жыл бұрынAlabama Baseball and Florida Baseball played in round 2 of the 2023 SEC Baseball Tournament. This round is double elimination. Alabama is still looking to improve their resume in hopes of hosting a regional, while Florida has likely already locked up a top 8 national seed.
Covering sports in a unique way since 2018.

The best part of my work as a KZfaqr is being able to provide coverage of sports that may not receive as much attention as they should to the large audience I have built over the years. Many of the sports I cover aren't posted by any other KZfaqrs, which makes this channel that much more important.
One of my favorite accomplishments is revolutionizing the way sports channels create thumbnails. I've adopted two different styles, one with logos on the left and a game snapshot on the right, and the other with the logos in the middle and game snapshots representing both teams on either side.
I have a combined 4 years of experience as a Baseball & Basketball Play by Play announcer, which is where I learned my skills for commentary/breakdowns.

As a bama fan this hurts like shit😭, but i’m j proud how far the team has came, possibly gonna host a regional for the first time in awhile, but this game showed bama has grown as a team too. But credit to florida for fighting back, great team. Hopefully both teams can make a good run this post season

Bama didn’t hand the game over. They were playing to win. Gators pitcher walking the runner to load the bases was a bad choice. I thought the game was over after 6-3. Florida snatched that win fair and square. Amazing game.

Imagine being the pitcher they put in, in the 11th. And in only 6 freakin pitches, you allow 3 singles , and a walk off 3 run BOMB. garuntee he's rethinking his career. That's a TOUGH night. I mean it don't get much worse. Took 6 pitches to blow a lead. Where your team had ALL the momentum going into the bottom of the inning. Ooooooooof.

He made the Freshman ALL-SEC team. I doubt he's rethinking his career after one of the best lineups in all of college baseball got to him. Sometimes you tip your cap.

That’s on the coach for putting him in at all in that situation. The pitcher before him was consistent and really engaged. As soon as the coach pulled him, I said that Florida was going to win. Even called the walkoff homer. Stupid move to change the narrative of the game on your own by taking out the guy that kept you in it until that point.

My girlfriend works late and can never watch the Gator baseball games with me (she also is new to baseball and finds it a little slow). We watch these highlights every game and she LOVES them. Thank you wheels!!! You spread the game of college baseball.

It is in the SEC. The SEC is always the top conference but the teams are even better now due to the transfer portal. Your top teams have very few weak spots.

Or he just faced the best 2-4 in college baseball? Two first rounders (projected 3rd overall, the other has to return but many think he would go #1 and a 4th rounder). But, it was the 5 that walked it off. Tough lineup for any pitcher to face in that environment.

@@GrimJim51 He's got good control of the ball and isn't throwing wild pitches that end up in a high ball count. The decision to throw it down broadway after the batter just swung for home runs in the 1st two swings was the only real questionable part.

The bats are known as "BB Core" which means that they're an amalgam. Almost aluminum. The "ping" you hear is far from wood. These bats were designed to save money as wooden bats would drive up costs due to breakage. But. . . that's not the ONLY problem. The damn baseballs are JUICED. They are made in China and wound TIGHTER. Don't take my word for it. Listen to former MLB player and current announcer for ESPN Eduardo Perez . These are his words exactly. The former baseballs were primarily made in Haiti. With the size, strength and athletic ability of the current college baseball player, these kids are already close to professionals in ability. The bats MUST change. Wouldn't hurt to see the baseballs rejudged as well. . Balls hit off the bat handles are finding the warning tracks. At the moment, the game looks closer to a video contest. Btw, years ago George Brett's company created a COMPOSITE WOOD bat that would solve the problem. I've hit with them and they're true to the original wooden bats. They're almost unbreakable so why not give them a tryout? When someone gets killed by a line drive off these sped up bats fueled by 99 mph pitches with a hopped up ball, maybe minds will change.

@@michaelwolf6424 I heard the same about the balls. The bats are neutered, but not enough as you just pointed out. Caglianone hit one 488' with an EV of 115 mph earlier this season, and he's only a sophmore. Scary stuff.

@@321gates I saw that game. It was against Missouri. The ball landed half way up on a Quonsett hut roof Missou uses for a training facility. People just stared at it. Cags ran into that one. However, strong kids like Cags don't need any "help" hitting the ball out of the park. Something HAS to be done about the potential deadly combination of composite bats and juiced baseballs before someone gets killed. My vote would be the composite wooden bats George Brett's company came out with. Why is this so difficult?
