🔆Bhagavad Gita: Chapter 2, Verse 23:
नैनं छिन्दन्ति शस्त्राणि नैनं दहति पावक: |
न चैनं क्लेदयन्त्यापो न शोषयति मारुत: || 23||
nainaṁ chhindanti śhastrāṇi nainaṁ dahati pāvakaḥ
na chainaṁ kledayantyāpo na śhoṣhayati mārutaḥ
🪔Weapons do not cut It; fire does not burn It; neither does water wet It; nor does the wind dry It.
🔆Bhagavad Gita: Chapter 2, Verse 24:
अच्छेद्योऽयमदाह्योऽयमक्लेद्योऽशोष्य एव च |
नित्य: सर्वगत: स्थाणुरचलोऽयं सनातन: || 24||
achchhedyo ’yam adāhyo ’yam akledyo ’śhoṣhya eva cha
nityaḥ sarva-gataḥ sthāṇur achalo ’yaṁ sanātanaḥ
🪔This Self cannot be cut, burned, wetted or dried. Eternal, all-pervasive, stable, immovable and everlasting is It.
🔆Bhagavad Gita: Chapter 2, Verse 25:
अव्यक्तोऽयमचिन्त्योऽयमविकार्योऽयमुच्यते |
तस्मादेवं विदित्वैनं नानुशोचितुमर्हसि || 25||
avyakto ’yam achintyo ’yam avikāryo ’yam uchyate
tasmādevaṁ viditvainaṁ nānuśhochitum arhasi
🪔This Self is said to be unmanifest, imponderable and immutable. Knowing It to be such, you ought not to grieve for It.

Imagine extraordinary calmness, nobody else around you, sitting in a mountain fastness like a Himalayan cave. Then imagine the world outside the cave has gone, nothing outside. You close your eyes. You can't even see the cave. Nothing comes from the world outside. The world has disappeared. You have forgotten the world, the world has forgotten you. Now you lose awareness of your body. Now the thoughts memories desires shut down. A serene blankness reigns. Even this is not it. When you are ready drop that blankness. I can't say anymore. Drop that blankness. let it go. What remains? Not even blankness, not even deep sleep.

It is eternal, it reaches all planes yet remains still, immovable and ever-present. It is imperceptible, inconceivable and untransformable {by the sixfold transformations*}. Therefore, knowing the nature of the soul as such, there is no reason to lament for it.

I think that there's an implicit religion in this time, and it is materialism. Many people believe in science and its results the way they used to believe in God and rely on it to feel protected. They don't think that prayer and rituals make anything real... and that is contributing to the abandonment of traditional religion... But that can be good for spirituality because who can be happy thinking we are biological machines! And thank you for these amazing videos. Thank you from my heart.

pranam swami ji...plz i have confusion..if we are conciousness only ..then what about subtle body..to which it belongs..if subtle body is just reflection..whose reflection???..if we are not subtle bidy then whats the role of any vedic ritual..or moral or dharma

I am also a fellow listener here of Swami ji. What I understand from Swami Sarvapriyananda ji's explanation, consequently realise that "I" the "Atman"/ the Self pervades all, even the mind, the intellect, the subtle body. All the rituals be it fire rituals and every other thing like meditation and chanting are just for the subtle body and the mind. Subtle body is carrying past life tendencies and the karma baggage. "I" is unaffected. You are this "I" - unaffected by anything. The ultimate intent is liberation/"moksh". So all the rituals burn up certain portion of karma and good actions purify some portion of karma, that are being carried by the subtle body & the mind. Rituals, actions, knowledge, devotion purify the mind. And there are various ways to purify the mind and purify the subtle body which are transferred from one physical body to another physical body since time immemorial. For this Sri Krishna has given the purification methods in BhagvadGita for the mind and subtle body and not for the atman. Atman is eternally pure. Even the final rites done after death of physical body are for the mind and the subtle body and not for the atman. After purification someday the need of wearing a physical body would be gone, so there would be no transfer to another physical body, after that subtle body and the mind may exist for sometime to complete remnant action. Those are great saints who in their pure subtle body and pure mind still guide us to right path and we remember them. For example: there is a couple doing Hawan for getting a child. This hawan is not for the aatman. There may be some past karma associated with child and that is being taken care of by the mind and subtle body of the couple. Because subtle body and mind are doing it to eliminate pay off their debt related to "Karma". "I" the real self is neither the doer nor the receiver of any Hawan and not even the carrier of Karma. I hope these words are making sense as the lessons from BhagvadGita sessions are new to my mind and intellect.

kzfaq.info/get/bejne/qKiBZJWYtNHZlps.html But Swami u r contradicting urself. In Aparokshanubhuti / Drg Drsya Viveka u said consciousness (C) doesn't experience anything, it is the function of the mind to experience, and that C just illumines the mind to be able to experience. But here u r saying that C sees an object, C feels miserable, C thinks, etc.
@thatch8368
@thatch8368 2 жыл бұрын
I think it was a slip of tongue. Till now I also understood that the consiousness merely illumined. Swami ji goes on to say that the objects to consciousness need to be dropped, thus implying C to be an illuminer not an experiencer.
