a lot of those features are awesome for drivers, I still think EVs are too new for consumer use though not enough stations to charge everyones car and at least where I live the grid is still crap despite being near DC.

@@LaosHouseit’s awful! Amazon returns customers are the most brain dead entitled people you could meet. They cannot fathom why they have to pay to have us print out their return labels, or have to pay for a box if their customer packed item is brought to us unpacked. “But Amazon said it’d be free!” No! Amazon didn’t say that! Goods and services cost money and Amazon does not pay for us to print or supply boxes to THEIR customers.

I just finished my 7th day as a driver here in Canada. We have branded Ford transits and I got to drive the new one with LED lights and a big touch screen console lol. Thanks to your videos I didn't feel too nervous starting this job even though I had 0 experience in this industry 🙂

@okGDJ Sorry late reply, but I really enjoy it. They send me to downtown areas sometimes, which I hate, but the other route I get is basically in the middle of nowhere, next to the ocean, and those days are fun. I cant sit at a desk and be in the same building for hours at a time. If you like moving and being active this is a great job 🤙

glad you're back - i kno u werent gone too long but i like my Chris vids. I was in NYC recently and pointed out the walking DA's to my BF - he was like whhhaaattt. But then I explained that if they sent all those cargo vans into manhattan it would just be a mess traffic wise. Could even be an agreement the mayor has with AMZ for all we know. just thoughts....

had the shelves been about 1" to 2" inches TALLER, it would allow for the totes to be stacked vertically, which would allow more totes, but even better, more room to pass through when you have totes on both sides of either the floor or shelves! 🙂 That area you're delivering in looks pretty sweet...at least from Google maps Perspective! LOL!

This year I bought a 55" wide computer desk from Amazon which it's weight was around 50 pounds. Least the Amazon driver only had to walk it like 20 feet to the front door. Since there is an alley next to the house which they can pull drive down to get closer to the front door.

Sorry for offtopic but don't you need to collect recipient signature when you hand customer's package? Recently our flex app changed the way it's working so we have to do it EVERY time and honestly I'm not a fan of that! I truly miss the old good days where things were much easier... We would get random vans when i was workimg. A lot of them didnt even have ac. Was so f'ed. No shelves. No overtime😂 when you finish early you go rescue someone else. Apartments were the worse. No conceirge deliver to the door. Bringing 2 or 3 totes up was ridiculous, hopefully they gave you a trolly cuz sometimes they didnt! . So happy i quit haha. Wish i had it like you man would have stayed longer.

Which DSP do you work for? I started in NJ on August 30th. Just finished my first month. My DSP only has the Ram and Mercedes vans. I make it work though.

Will these vans make drivers deliver to the correct address? More than one street in a neighborhood can have the same house number, and GPS can be off by 50 yards.

Have you gotten any raises since you started driving for amazon? What'd you start at and what are you making now? I'm thinking about applying to a couple dsp's but I've heard they don't give raises. All the ones here start at $17.

As amazon driver I do Jersey city I do have hand truck to help me do multiple stops with heavy packages or put in bags and drag it. I always planned ahead and see how many stops with oversized

The driver's door is heavy, the height is huge, the wipers don't turn on until you turn off the notification about the open door (which is closed) and many other small details. The fan sound is still the same

Larger than a Cargo Van but smaller than the Step Van. It's more comparable to the CDV.

New Jersey is definitely an expensive place to live , but in the hood where all the criminals live it's far more affordable but you risk your own safety even being there that's why his DSP stopped delivering to the hood.
