Absolutely ridiculous😂😂😂. None of these are life hacks, it's just what you use cable ties for. It would be like me making a video entitled "9 life hacks for a spoon" and then showing me eating different foods with it.

Most of the ideas shown I wouldn't use a plastic cable tie as more suitable things to use. They are called cable ties and that's what they are mainly used for , to tie cables!!

I have been using tie wraps (zip ties) for years. I never thought of some of the ones I saw in this video. There are a number of these shown where a key ring, or double sided Velcro, or a paper clip would work better. Excellent video!

Why use the biggest and longest zip ties when much smaller ones would do the job? You end up cutting 90% of the zip tie off!!
@Milesco
@Milesco 7 жыл бұрын
All zip ties, regardless of size, tend to have long "tails", often with much more length than you need. But not always -- sometimes you need it all. Depends on what you're trying to do. With a long tail, you have as much as you need for some uses, and you can easily cut off the excess if you don't need it. In this case, even if the guy had used smaller zip ties (and in some cases, he did), he'd still need to cut off most of them.

No. 5 tried to use to release balls from No. 3 above but punctured both balls on first failed attempt. Update: No. 4 to keep parts close together but not too close to clank. Please advise.

1:15 ... No, cutting with scissors is not enough. Scissors leave a very sharp edge on the plastic, which can easily damage skin, even cause bleeding. use an emery board to file the cut edge smooth.

and cut those zip ties off as close to the zippy part as possible so you don't have that dangerous sharp piece of plastic waiting to slice you open. diagonal cutters work well for it. I've even filed them smooth before. my favorite hack was the key ring. I hate key rings they never sit flat and are hard to put keys on. and I like the zipper pull idea. the shoestring idea looks like something I'd try just to be funky. I usually just use stretchy laces so my shoes slip on and off easy.

# 7 doesn't count as a life hack ! you tied a cable with a Zip tie which is the basic purpose of a zip tie , if fact does everyone not call them Cable ties ? But anyways , doesn't count as that is what is primarily made for , You could replace itwith Handcuffs - Works great , special forces use them .

A)ny fan we've owned stayed snapped never fell apart. Once a year unsnap the grill , unwind the blades, put the parts either in the bathtub or dishwasher. But you don't lock the grill, ever, especially with its grime so obvious... yech... clean it first. ~~~ B) Elastic shoe laces, too, are out there...once laced never to be touched again... no bending to tie/ untie. ~~~~~. C) big waste of ties snipping away 95 percent of them. ~~~~~ D) Key rings are already out there and one is as blah on the attractivity scale as the other..

If you cut zip ties off with scissors leaving just a bit left hanging out - you are an idiot or just plain evil. Use a pair of flush cutting side cutters and carefully cut it off flush with nothing left hanging out to cut or scratch the next person that comes near it. There are tons of these available, but if you search Amazon for Flush Cutters, you'll find suitable ones for well under 10$.

I apologize my last post. just beyond the pale really. but some of these hack vids scraping the fucking barrel now. I mean you watch in hopes they got something that, okay, maybe you never gonna need or use but it clever or amusing and yeah, not many people think of that till you just now. you watch in hopes that even if It is just something they got off someone else channel, it still okay, cos its worth putting out there again and sharing more widely. these videos aren't those videos though. not even close. I mean for fucks sake, I went to school when the first gulf war was on and okay, paper clips and elastic bands had been around time immemorial, but the school calculator was still going through its evolution - the hard plastic half shell case you see everywhere today had only just come about back then but no sooner had this happened than school kids everywhere jammed their elastic bands in the slides and used the back cover as a runway for their paperclip projectiles. not just a better "hack" than most of this shit it had funny name too - surely though no-one needs to see a video about the scud launcher?
