TOPIC: ARE YOU READY TO SERVE IN GOD’S VINEYARD?
First Reading: Hosea 8: 4-7, 11-13

Gospel: Matthew 9: 32-38
Our gospel today narrates how Jesus Himself felt pity on people whom He felt were “abandoned, like sheep without a shepherd”. He told His disciples about the need for more laborers, more workers who would help in doing the mission!
With all the things that are happening in our society, in our communities, and in the world, and even with communication technologies and social media, there remain many areas that are not yet being reached. Another challenge is that faith is becoming irrelevant to many, especially to young people today. Many families are broken in so many ways. These are realities that remind us to pray for more laborers in the vineyard of God who would help in sharing His word and witnessing to His love.
Pope Francis tells us, “Every Christian is a missionary to the extent that he or she bears witness to God’s love. Be missionaries of God’s tenderness!”. God’s love is selfless. When we feel loved by Him, when we experience His blessings, there is no other option for us but to share this love with others. Let us be witnesses of His love wherever we are, and wherever He may send us!
