Theres only 2 football grounds in the PL that don't have VAR screens to keep fans informed of checks and decisions. Old trafford and anfield who have both had major stadium refurbishments since VAR was introduced and made no effort to add screens (as fans seats and revenue will be lost). The PL needs to man up to these clubs and show they arn't a law to themselves, Grizz talks about improved communication, why not first complain to your club to put VAR screens in and be like all other clubs in the PL.

No point talking to Spurs fans because most are taking it way too personal. They keep waffling abt unfair decisions against them but what about when it has gone for them in the past? Or are they going to pretend they always have been shafted? The season prior to last year we drew to them and there were many questionable decisions. If fair decisions were made LFC would arguably have finished 2pts above City. But again those decisions were subjective. It is not LFC fault for being the bigger club, fans asides, media and alikes will keep talking abt LFC and they'll keep getting butthurt.

Every league thinks they have the worst referees. Every year people cry about the standard but it isn't that bad at all. Why don't clubs demand referees get better pay to attract better talent? Why don't the people who cry about the standards become refs and show us how it's done? I've seen incompetence in every workplace I've ever worked. Many people who cry about refs are useless at their own jobs

Just because every football opinion you hear are from 10 year olds on twitter telling everyone to "cry more" doesn't mean there aren't people who are taking the issue serious regardless of tribalism. I think banter and tribalism are good for the game, its what makes a show like the Big 6 so fun and entertaining, but ultimately there comes a point where sporting integrity supercedes any tribalism. Of course I'm upset, but ultimately IF this is a watershed moment for some kind of change, I'm calm. We're good enough to go again. People like you who want to play down the issue is why the sport can't evolve.

All the evidence is pointing to ref bias and them not wanting to give that Diaz goal. Why would they do that to Liverpool? Klop criticism of refs last year. The altercation and subsequent accusation of the ref who physically assaulted Robertson. Our fans booing the national anthem. Liverpool's history as a rebellious City. They didn't show the VAR lines to the crowd because if they had done they'd have had no option but to award the goal. Not show it, and they could disallow the goal. It's that simple. That shows they were intent on fixing the game. Look into where these officials were in the few days prior to the game, in Saudi. What clubs are owned by Saudi.

Strawman argument that his barometer was about “player injury” but when it comes to his player it’s not reckless. The fact is Spurs played that footage inside the stadium and it riled up the crowd and it triggered the referee. The inexperienced referee played to the occasion.

Jones was not reckless because his leg was bent when he made contact, his knee was not locked. So if there was excessive force from him or the other player his leg will bend, if his knee is locked (leg straight) and two feet off the ground then that is reckless and brakes legs.

I'm with Toby, Ange won't be preaching we will win the title but he will preach that they will aim to win every game, game by game. And he was spot on with the depth issues, if Son, Maddison and Bissouma are injured Ange ball is over. Next transfer window will be massive to increase the depth. We saw in the pre-season game against Barca's first XI (only 5 days before the season started), that Ange-ball can exist without any of those 3 playing. He's not only a win-now manager even though he's had such an immense impact. Part of his philosophy is bringing in players and developing/trusting them to shoulder some of that responsibility, instead of someone like Conte/Mourinho that freezes out players that aren't in his starting XI. Lo Celso and Johnson are about to return from injury so next week our bench will already be much stronger. Title challengers is a stretch since it's only Ange's first season so there's still a ton of room for improvement, but next couple seasons there's a real possibility. Maybe even in 3 seasons if a certain buyback clause is activated...

The rules are pathetic. United played a match a few seasons ago during Mourinho’s tenure. The game ended with the referee calling the end of the game. VAR brought the game back with Fernandes given a penalty which he converted. A group of premiership clubs rejected the technology that was used at the World Cup.

So, I don't see how they couldn't pull it back a mere 10 seconds after "realising" their massive cock up. The more you deep it, the more suss it all seems. As for Man United, when I was growing up, Giggs, Scholes, Beckham era, 1 loss was a crisis. They can lose 4 out of 7 now 'ahh its alright'. They're a disgrace atm. Top to bottom. If the players dont wanna work hard for ETH they will throw Simeone under the bus in a month. The first game under Ralf the players pressed for 15 mins and then gave up. No manager in the world fixes this. Best option is to stick with Erik, let him clean out the squad further, get Utd to a decent level and then if necessary bring in a manager to go to the next level. Sacking ETH just keeps these same failed players here, the new manager has to sell players on high wages (which won't happen), the Glazers go under the radar again, the structure doesn't change and ultimately Utd are back to square one and in 18 months they'll be blaming another manager. Same old bs. Wake up and smell the coffee.

I'd prefer if VAR was connected to artificial intelligence rather than a human. If A.I. was used, the goal that Liverpool scored, but wasn't awarded due to human error, would have been counted. Also, A.I. is completely unbiased and would make consistent decisions every week. Referees know this and that's why they reject A.I....it'll put them out of work.
