You should play it dude.... it's one of the best games ever made, for sure the best PC game or I guess more specifically the best E sport. It takes a while to get good though. I would say you won't even win a game for like a month. When I came back after 10+ years I was horrible. If I can do it you can do it.

@@alexfriedman2047 I am currently learning SC2; I am practicing my 1-1-1 Terran Build Order. SC2 is much easier to control and from what I've seen, I find the meta to be engaging and the game play interesting. My question to you is why someone looking to get into SC should choose Brood War over SC2.

@@PharmacyCzar cuz honestly dude SCBW is a much better game. I played SC2 at a high level too. SCBW is way more fun when you get good enough to play. It's just a better game play design. sc2 IS ok but BW is a masterpeice. I would reccomend learning BW

I look at the replays (not just Arty lol) and nothing jumps out to me as being worth putting up with the worse interface and bad path finding, which I understand the remaster didn't do anything to fix. It's just him coping over his inability to expand and control the map. Whenever Scan tells him to expand he magically can. When he plays on his own he makes up some bullshit excuse about Terran not being able to 3 base. When he plays Protoss he stays on two base turtling anyways. He cannot even process playing differently, complete boomer mentality that is non-conductive to improvement. He never blames his execution or decisions. It's always something external.

@@athropos I watched like a dozen videos of Artosis and you can tell he is actually isn't good at the game. He doesn't adapt at all and plays like a bot, where he follows scripted behavior and can't micro. I watched like 5-7 videos of him playing against Snow and you can see he never learns. He keeps spamming vultures and mines, which Snow constantly uses against him, cause he wastes so much time planting mines instead of doing something productive. Snow literally always has an observer to destroy all the mines or uses Artosis's own mines to kill his own units. And Artosis literally never has com scan, missile turrets, or science vessel to counter Snows observers watching his base. He also has no clue how to use his tanks, and constantly sends vultures to their death due to his lack of vision. He also just constantly leaves his main base open without any detectors, missile turrets, and scouts to guard against drops. It is like a chess bot that only knows how to do 1 opening strategy and once you disrupt any 1 step in the chain, the bot just stops functioning. That is why when I watched the 4 videos that Artosis has where Scan plays against Snow, you can easily tell why Artosis is so bad. Where Scan actually constantly destroys Snow's observers to prevent ambushes, and shuttle drops. And focuses on using his tanks efficiently, and only builds enough vultures to defend the tanks, and doesn't waste time constantly spamming mines that don't do anything.

@@armybear2 Bro, I just watched Harstem play him with the mod that ports BW races into SC2 and he was doing the same shit. I'm bad and even I noticed how harstem always had 1 or 2 observers that had free reign over seeing everything coming and going from his base.

He makes poor choices about when to macro and when to micro. Since he refuses to queue units up because “that’s bad” he just ends up with a massive bank and no units. Still ends up microing 6 tanks into the enemy tank line. On a BGH game recently he didn’t have his comstat bound so instead of selecting the comstat moving his camera down half screen he kept furiously trying to keybind it and missed the scan. Another he’s playing this crazy Zerg. Stomps him but instead of killing the undefended hatches and containing the Zerg he attacks over this tiny choke and loses his k whole army. All he needs to do is clean up the map and keep macroing he was up like 70 supply. Eventually the vessels alone would have won him the game or he could make a few drop ships to end it in a combined strike. Nope. Got to all in the Zerg NOW. Of course the Zerg had no skill and the game is broken since his attack didn’t work because he thought the attack should,

Unfortunately, I think the same thing will happen to him in any RTS. Ladder is never going to be as cerebral as he likes as cheese/all-ins exist in any game. He wants to play against opponents who are playing as if they are in a BO3 all the time it seems. Maybe I'm missing something special about BW though.

In aoc all ins in blizzard or cc style games wont work. Pretty sure artosis would loike aoc, but unit ai mechanics and pathibg isnt that great
