That baby isn't necessarily that mad either? She's not closing her eyes almost at all when she whines, barely cries, no hand-flapping, no tightening up her body. She's assertively communicating her parents that she doesn't want to be held back, in the way she's developed till now. And she keeps speaking and checking back on her parents as she climbs up. That little one really knows her parents understand her, and that's beautiful. Wonderful parenting example, this is awesome!

Baby cousin didn’t know sign but she was able to speak a bit before one. Loved her flash cards lol. I think we baby down the babies a bit too much🤣 so many understand what is going on and can respond back if you teach them how. I was a nanny for 25 yrs. I once cared for this little boy who couldn't even walk yet, he was like 8/9 months also, and he would climb up this rather tall ladder in a play fort in the backyard (w/me behind him of course) and get to the top, crawl over to the slide, flip on to his belly and slide down and then crawl back to the ladder and do it all over again. He was so little but he watched his big brother and just man-handled that play scape. 😂 Babies are little geniuses!

As a parent, it's hard not to want to jump in and help our kids surmount obstacles, but sometimes we have to back off just a little and let them find their footing on their own. Mom did the right thing by listening to her daughter when she was saying (in her own baby way) "Let me do it myself". Dad did the right thing by giving her space to do it herself but still being close enough to catch her if she slipped. This is how you raise confident, independent children. Great job Mom and Dad!
