The FPJ has nice features but the finishing is not up to par with Patek or Lange which are the best of Swiss and Germany respectively!

Awesome as always Damian. Would've love to have seen you at Watchpro, I was supposed to be going with Tim Write, but time got away from us and we ended up in Harrods, then the pub and then back to the BQ watch event that we were at. Had I known you would be there, I would've come along and said 'Hello' Hopefully catch you at another event.

I saw your video on AP Diver, you need to look at the 26470 Navy. Blue AND orange! Just bought a 2017 and my other watches don’t get any wrist time :p

Liked the Duckworth but the minute hand is too long a Miyota movement might put the snobs off. That said its high beat at 28.800 and accurate but not very pretty. The Czapek watches I have admired for many years as a watch friend is really into them. The one you shown is superb! Then there is that last watch! i need to see that one, how the mechanics work to put the balance and escape on the dial side! the crystal must make a new definition of " hi dome" Great video as always.

waited 2 yrs for a FPJourne CS but still no luck, has deposit on a Czapek , but salmon dial.

Great video and choice of watches. The Rolex 116509 (I just brought this exact watch 4 weeks ago from my AD), truely a great watch. A sleeper - Yes in every way. The Manager at my AD who has been manager for just over 6 yrs - said it was the first time he had seen this watch. He said they get a regular supply of SS Daytona's - but very very few Solid White Gold Daytona's with the full gold bracelet. I specifically did not want a ceramic bezel, the solid gold bezel is magnificent, the dial has that vintage type look, the weight and size is just Perfection Perfection. You will love it.

@@TheWatchGuysTV Just think - how many Rolex sports models have Gold Bezels - Only Daytona's and only about half the range now. How long will it be before all Daytona's are ceramic. Another nice factor is, it is going for 60% over MSRP on the grey market etc - not that I ever intend to sell it (but ever is a long time). Have a good day.

FPJ isn't of course attracting attention just because of recent auction successes. rather, the auction successes are a result of various circumstances that are paying off (depending on your perspective) for FPJ and owners. just enough production over a long enough period to manage to satisfy that it's a safe place to put money. lots of other great makers are too low on production to encourage much satisfied following and remain the realm of very confident, very wealthy. they're not necessarily as fussed about needing to sell on at any time.

Great question. I now own 4 of them. The FPJ and Patek I’m still waiting for. The Minions KC was Russia only and I couldn’t get one. The MBnF wanted full payment up front with no idea of a delivery time. The Czapek I cancelled

Greatstuff, the Chakin is a bit vulgar and the MB&F inspires respect if not affection. Really can't imagine asteady chap like yourself wearing half a pound ofPatek gold either, proper super villians watch imho.
