Heart Attacks are a serious problem in Football, it's due to the high strain brought on the body during training/matches etc. In the UK we had a player called Fabrice Muamba nearly die, spent months in the hospital for a heart attack mid match - since then it's been compulsory for every team in English Football to monitor players careful, special heart monitors in the training kit and everything

Ryan Moore He did die, like he was legally dead for a crazy amount of time before he was revived, way too long to be brought back without any serious brain damage but he seems fine now, other than not being able to play. Not religious but that was genuinely miraculous.

Ryan Moore facts and it has happened in the nfl and colleges ball and nba ball but a lot of time there team doctors catch it before it’s to late. The latest case is Shaq son shareef O’Neal. The UCLA doctors caught a problem and he will be out this season and is doing heart surgery.

If someone dies in soccer it’s usually heart problems. It happens on the training ground too, happens to young players in their teens. Not sure why, but I’d guess it’s the adrenaline mixed with 90 minutes of intense cardio. There was a player called Christian Benitez who played for my team, Birmingham City. Died at the age of 27 due to cardiac arrest, and I’m sure he was just sitting in a car when that happened. He was a really good player too.

That is not true, these players had a heart condition that could have been caught with screenings. It has nothing to do with playing soccer

Scoobay yeah especially if you are young not only are most not used to such an atmosphere I’m sure those that have heart problems have to deal with maybe a change in elevation, more instense stadiums, plus their own adrenaline so most wont realize they’ve ran themselves into the ground. Add on maybe the meaning of the game to the club. Plus a poor diet. Daily training games every few days.

Josh So what you're saying is playing a sport that requires immense cardiovascular endurance had nothing to do with exposing a hidden heart condition...🤔
@Scoobay
@Scoobay 5 жыл бұрын
Josh Pre-existing heart conditions are of course a factor, as it were with Chucho, but I think there’s more to it as not all players this happens to have any. What we get in news reports are regurgitated information given to us by the layman. I said intense cardio and adrenaline, but could also be for prescribed medication. I’ve heard many times about footballers needing sleeping aids which have been known to thicken the heart tissue if excessively used, but I’m sure this is common amongst other sports. We don’t hear about these tragedies in sports such as basketball, American football or hockey (at least I haven’t). If they’re not suffering from it, why are soccer players? The only obvious difference with the physicality is the duration of the games, tell me that’s not a factor?

The cardiomyopathy means enlarged heart. The heart muscle gets bigger and weaker trying to keep the blood flowing throughout the body. It's usually a birth defect of the heart and gets worse the energy you expound.

Football is one of the most difficult sports to practice, you have to be in an optimal shape to play on a high level. Some bodies are just not capable of support the fatigue that it causes your body. And some others just get a heart attack after running and demanding their body more than they can take

Please thumbs up this comment it could save a life. A lot of people spreading misleading information in these comments. This is not a problem solely to do with soccer or any one sport. These athletes who have sudden heart attacks had hidden heart conditions that are very difficult to find unless caught early by doctorsIf anyone follows basketball here in the USA you would have seen in the news that Shaqs college son is about to have heart surgery because doctors found a problem with his heart that if never found could have killed him during a practice or game. A few years back at a local highschool near me a a basketball player collapsed during practice and the school happened to have an AED nearby, the coach ran and got it and shocked the kid backed to life, saving him. A close family friend of ours passed away after she collapsed during one of her highschool cross country races when she was a sophmore. Her family pushed for schools to have AED's at every school in our area so that if that were to happen again to another kid the AED could be used to save their life. Well it worked because the boy that collapsed during basketball practice was saved by an AED that was only put in place because of that families efforts. If you would like to learn more about this story kzfaq.info/get/bejne/oKiEh5OEua66eZs.html

there are many more actually. about two years ago, a football (soccer, to you) player had cardiac arrest and died. I sadly forgot his name, but he was wearing green kit as long as I remember. few months ago, a goalie from Indonesia collided with his own team mate and he died as the medical team brought him to the hospital. a year ago, a bright kid from Ajax named Appie Nouri almost lost his life as well. Appie is alive now, but he has permanent brain damage and we haven't seen him since then. its saddening.

cardiac arrest... But some types of arrhythmia can be serious and lead to a sudden stop in heart function (sudden cardiac arrest). The most common cause of cardiac arrest is an arrhythmia called ventricular fibrillation - when rapid, erratic electrical impulses cause your ventricles to quiver uselessly instead of pumping blood.
