Girl, you rock! Grace under pressure and hitting all cylinders flat out. I'm so glad the repair program came through, and amazed you moved everything like a whirling dervish. Your new digs look great! Once I moved and my furniture, etc. didn't come for FIVE MONTHS! I lived out of two suitcases and a minimal amount of borrowed dishes, bed, chair, lamp, etc. It turned out great, and I kept making a list of the things I needed as they popped up. (PS - the list stayed pretty small.) Living streamlined is the bomb and you can focus on your kids and what's important. I'm praying all will go well and you'll be back in full gear after you rest. Don't do all the things. Just do what makes you happy and take care of yourself. You deserve all the good in life!

Gorgeous apartment! Impressed that it has a wine fridge!! 🤓. Using Contact paper to cover counter tops is a college trick! Inexpensive but high impact look!

Fabulous Diva! love it! Hunny, i had to make do with what i have in my two bedroom one bathroom apartment. i am using my second bedroom as a Den/office/sewing and craft room. Chile, every space in here is used! but, it's cozy and functional for now. my dream is to have a lovely mid century modern home with a cute "she shed" in the back. that is what i want in life.

Okay this is thee greatest space ever!! I just shared this to my boyfriend and told him I want to reorganize my sewing room just like this lol. I basically take up three rooms of our studio/office and I said I want to take all my stuff from my office/computer room and put it in the “Closet” (the room I call for my thrift shop) and my sewing room. I love this and I need to get reorganizing. I bought these huge storage shelves for all my crates of fabric but it’s so much and so many crates, I actually need a third one!! Might also consider selling or giving away some fabric cause I have a lot lol. Either way, I love this!!

Best, best, best video on moving and sewing room setup. Hubby and I are moving to a new house soon (summer 2022). I'm dreaming and planning of transitioning from stations for sewing, serging, cutting, ironing, hand embroidery) in a 10' x 5' bedroom (shared with dressing room, walk in closet, and stationary bike) to a dedicated sewing only space. Wish me luck!

I also have those ikea tables! I set it up similar but my little ones kept knocking it over🥲 So exciting to set up a pop up sewing room! You did a great job 💙 One thing I can’t do is have scissors in plain sight. Not only for little ones but my special needs daughter gets “inspired” to cut up garments too....😅😂🤣

I am trying to reorganize my sewing/crafting space and wow! you're area is inspiring. So many of your comments are relatable. I also take up space! And I see a use for everything, so I have to be vigilant about passing things along. I hope the renovations go smoothly. And stay warm! We finally have temperatures that pass 0 degrees! It feels like a heat wave at 10 degrees!

Wow! You really did a good reorg for a makeshift sewing room for this temporary space. I can see why you like it because it really open and since you did not have stuff on the walls at eye level it looks less cluttered. Is your dress dummies there? I always look forward to seeing the kids and of course baby girl has to get her closeup. So excited and looking forward to Next Top Upcycling. You now have given me an ultimate excuse for hoarding my thrifting finds. Tee Hee Hope you guys are staying safe and warm because I lived there for a spell and they do not know what to do with cold weather. But I am glad the rolling blackouts came to an end and we now above zero temps. Thanks for sharing and blessing to you and all in the days to come.

I live in a one bedroom apartment. I converted my walk in closet. Half for clothes/shoes and the other half for sewing/office. The room was large enough for an armoire cabinet.

Love the way u r able to make a great sewing space that is so functional. One of my most favorite organizing project is a shoe rack I put my ribbons on. First I took cardboard and put it on the bars so my small rolls/spools of ribbon don't slip through. It's great. Plus I can c what I have and I don't have to worry about moving any rolls or spools if I empty one, or if I just want to move one to another place when I need it.

Thank you for the really cool sewing room tour! I too am learning that choosing a designated sewing space takes planning and implementing ideas. For example, I had opted to use a spare bedroom as my sewing space, but realized I needed more space for 'me-makes' so now I sew in the front room. I would like to find a murphy bed to free up more space so I can change things back like they once were. Happy sewing!

This was great. Not sure my roommate would be okay with me taking over. Lol. For real, we will be living in our space 11 mos, until we find a house. Then I may be able to take over a whole room. That’s my hope. Great space organizing on your part. Ps-Love your hair.

I find that I have to have my ironing board always set up or I just don’t use it! In theatre they used a table wrapped in the ironing table insulation. It works amazingly with a giant surface to work on!

Yes, I crave one of those table ironing surfaces. My mom has one. I just don't want it permanent though. Perhaps I can make one that folds away. 🤔

@@BlueprintDIY or you can get a big wool ironing pad to place on your cutting table. You can keep it rolled up in a box when not using it. A historical costumer I watch does this.
