All great suggestions! I am a reformed hoarder. I used to have a packed house and five storage units. It took a catastrophic illness and a natural disaster to shift my mindset. Now I love being minimal. I look for things daily to declutter, I find so much joy in neat, clean, fresh spaces.

I love the Container Concept! My problem is less deciding what to give away, and more trying to figure out what to do with it: antiques, rare or expensive items; ie: not thrift shop things.

I had cupboards and closets that looked neat from the outside but disaster inside. I happened upon your channel and was encouraged to just do one at a time. I think it was your linen closet video! That worked for me.

Haha I just used a single sock as a dusting mitt today! Having something to collect unwanted clothing in or near your closet is a great tip. I'm in the habit of using a trash bag because all of our boxes tend to collect other types of donations like household goods.

I’ve been trying something new- every time I open a cabinet or drawer I do a very quick scan and ask “Is there anything I can get rid of out of here?” For less used drawers ( like the tiny ones in my living room end tables) I have merely completely emptied them so I don’t have to remember what’s in there. Always good info on your videos. Thanks! ❤

Love the way you think! I clean & declutter this way. I do NOT enjoy housework so I add a small area at a time to the daily chores. This way a big job gets done, though it is slower.

These are more personal questions so I hope you don’t mind them. How have you lost so much weight? And do you use a treatment on your eye lashes to get them to curl ? I love your videos. If you watch Cas from clutterbug you know about the different clutterbug styles and you seem to be a cricket like me. Most of the other you tube organizers I watch are ladybugs and butterflies so I’m so happy to watch some one who organizes more like me. You totally get me lol. Keep making videos! I love how you talk through how you decide what to keep. And your thought process. I like how you talk about cleaning and organizing as you go also. That’s a cricket thing! This is how I work too or I don’t feel like the jobs done.

Thank you! I was wondering if I was a cricket. I guess I’m not sure! Haha. I think I’ve taken her test a few times and sometimes I get cricket and sometimes I get ladybug. As for the weight loss, my doctor put me on Wegovy (similar to Ozempic) for pre-diabetes and luckily it also helps you lose weight! I have been blessed with dark eyelashes. I do put on mascara nowadays, but nothing else. I do use just a lash curler just to give them a little lift. Thanks for commenting and supporting my channel! 😊

Hello Ali, i just found your page and i love it. you have energised me. I also suffer from depression and you have put new life in me. Your ideas are great. I love having a tidy house (my husband is a hoarder) and I now have a new outlook on life. Today my husband and I took the very FIRST step towards decluttering our basement. Mind you the goal is AN EMPTY BASEMENT, since it's water infested from when the rain fills up the underground water levels. There's a LONG way to go.

Decluttering without cleaning? It seems that it would go hand in hand. I have a shed that has become a dump spot for years. Besides decluttering, it needs to be cleaned so everything is organized.😊
