The linen trousers saved me yesterday here on vacation when it was a whopping 100 degrees! I was barely sweating and felt classy ❤

For me, it’s linen clothing only in the summer months, especially linen dresses or all-linen shorts/skirts and tops outfits. I only wear linen trousers if I need to for certain activities or just more sun protection. For the first time this summer I have an all-linen summer capsule wardrobe. It’s great, now I know everything I pull out will be comfortable, cool and chic. I also have several linen blazers (unlined or cotton-lined, no poly linings), in my basic wardrobe colors and neutrals, that I can add for cooler mornings, evenings and air-conditioned interiors. Previously, I tried to get through our long, hot California summers with just a few linen dresses, but ironing is such hot work, I don’t want to have to do it that often. More pieces solved that issue. Our summers last at least five full months, June through October, I imagine Florida is the same.

Dresses are my go to, especially in the summer!! Cotton and linen!

Women don’t know what hot and sweaty is until they get to menopause! I can’t wear any synthetic fibers, ever, not even in blends. I overheat in a minute in them, plus I developed skin allergies to plastics over the years. This is actually quite common, it comes from repeated exposure to them. It’s become so difficult to find clothes with all-natural-fiber fabrication. It was so much easier when I was young in the 80s-90s. But, if we keep searching for all natural-fiber clothes and refuse to buy the plastics, brands will offer better choices. Thank goodness, there’s still Theory and a few other brands that haven’t gone down Plastic Avenue. Brands love synthetics because they’re cheaper than dirt, but they really aren’t appropriate for clothing bodies. I’m sure they’re great for car covers and garbage bags, but not on my body!

I always love your videos on how to stay stylish in hot, humid weather! Flowy dresses with sandals are my go to whenever I leave the house this time of year!

Fabrics are KEY, I wear a long sleeved tunic length linen shirt all the time as a cover up, but I can stand it SO MUCH better than the polyester kimonos with my tank underneath. Also love cotton or linen crocheted shirts/long sleeves over a tank, they let the air flow. I have a big bust and bigger upper arms, I hate how a tank can feel like I am exposed and these items let me feel better in the heat if I am not in my back yard, etc.

I agree with u about the bra If I’m home no bra goes on. When I go out I have to wear one !! I do have tanks with built in but I usually wear them when it gets cooler so I can wear a jacket or shirt over it.

I bought a few linen sets this year I live in the UK we're still waiting for summer to arrive it's been raining all weekend and not summer rain where it's warm but raining cold rain like early spring weather still that's how it's been all summer we had one decent week where it was sunny and 24° c 😂

I’m glad you mentioned the last tip about not doing exercise in the morning because of the cool down period. I also have avoided walking in the morning and midday because then I just feel sweaty all day no matter what. I understand how hot it can get in Florida, I’ve visited there quite a few times… where I live in Southern California tends to be a dry heat but we’ve been noticing the temperatures getting higher on average and more mugginess so on some days where I’m not going anywhere I just throw on my softest cotton stretch pants and lounge. Since I’m nearing 40 and my body weight and shape keeps fluctuating it’s been challenging to be stylish because it takes so much energy and effort to find what fits. Not sure if you have some tips for body fluctuations and how to stay stylish, that might help.

Some great tips here! Also, like to add that there is such a thing as over moisturizing and too much skincare, especially in tropical, humid climates! Specially nowadays with the focus on hydration, layering etc. You don't need 3 different serums, an essence, a facial oil, thick cream and heavy sunscreen! Switch to a gel moisturizer and light sunscreen (k-beauty has some good options). Personally, i love a good aloe gel and rosewater mist. I just buy some pure rosewater and put it in a small spray bottle which i can carry around in my bag.

Ms Anna, How may I THANK you for givng a premium tip about...NOT running in the morning when it is HOT. Or....to go VERY early !!! with...LOTS of water (belt and bottles...you know?) ;) Here the temperature is suffocating even at 9 am; so...I get up with the sun and GO! (6sh, 5h30) to avoid the heat ( that can be REALLY dangerous.) Do you have the possibility to " soak " in cool water? I do not know what it is about... " immerging " your whole body in water (pool, cool (cold?) bath) that makes the difference in the world. (word of a marathoner) ;) You help everyone...so much! Tip: If you noticed that one of the cups in the new bra top from amazon was not 100% smooth, you can fix that (assuming it's a synthetic cup). Put some really hot water in a sink (or bowl, I guess), and dip the bra cup into the water (I do short dips) until it smooths out. Magic. Thanks for the tip on the built in bra tops; I love these for summer and have been having difficulty finding new ones. And please tell me where you got that half-moon wicker bag you were wearing when you started showing us sunglasses! Love!

I live in Texas and keep cool by staying in AC. It works great. Winter is for outdoors activities. July and August are indoor months.

I had a "wig" like you have (sorry, I don't know how it's called), and it's great for us finehaired girls whose hair will never grow long ánd good looking, but I also find all that extra thick hair in your neck very warm! And it only looked good hanging loose. For me, even more important than breezy clothes, putting my hair up and let my neck area cool down is nr. 1 prio in summer. Hair looks great but not an option in summer.

There’s a cool( haha pun intended) yoga breathing technique that cools the body down. You can do it for a few breath cycles when it’s getting to you. Google it. Seated comfortably. You do taco tongue on the inhale and arms go up then breath out normal and arms go down. It really works.
