Recruiting someone at 9 years old is just stupid. So much happens in those years between college. She will get stronger and her shot will change, or she could get hurt. No hate though she's still dope.

Clorox Bleach it's actually much smarter because she has the skill and if she continues to practice she will improve. Strength only betters her odds. As for injury, being recruited so young she will understand that she can get free college as long as she stays healthy. She will stay out of trouble and avoid things that can injure her.

Well in my opinion if she has the talent and the passion to cope with the stress and all the risks of playing on a college team then we as strangers don't really have the right to say anything if she wants to do it or not so in any case good job kiddo.😊

That is why I prefer playing soccer. Soccer is more technical and skill based. World greatest ever soccer players are shorties like me like Maradona and Messi. If you are short, you play as a forward, winger or as a defensive mid field.Gene has way less role in it. That is why soccer is global and the greatest sports ever.
@jaineekparikh

@olabisikuku2356 7 жыл бұрын
Billy Bob Any guy playing in the WNBA would destroy all the female basketball players. Men are physically stronger than women, it's biology. Any guy could get inside the WNBA. It's not tough to play against girls.
@olabisikuku2356
@olabisikuku2356 7 жыл бұрын
SAMANTHA L HALEY I am not a guy. Obviously, being strong doesn't automatically mean you are better than someone in basketball, but strength is an advantage. If you are a girl who has great offense, passing, shooting, etc. and play against a guy who has absolutely no skills in basketball, then it is possible for her to beat him. But if you are a male who has good skills in basketball (such as: aim, guarding, dribbling, etc.), then you can easily beat a female, even if she has the same skills. When it comes to playing a basketball game, whether it's one on one or teams, females playing against males can't beat them because they are not as strong or fast as guys. I've seen many sports games, whether it's basketball or soccer, where guys easily beat the females. I mean, the U-17 boys team beat the U.S. Women's Soccer Team.

David Ball I'm sure a lot of these people are full of shit but it's really not that unbelievable. I live in between Duke, UNC-C and NC State, there's plenty of youth talent who play on JV and V teams. I remember in middle school after one game a girl from the other team started stretching with the varsity team to get ready for her next game with them...it's not as unbelievable as you think it is. The college thing is ridiculous, but the high school thing is not.

David Ball I got you. Recruiting someone who's that young is just stupid. There are so many things that could and will happen from then to senior year of HS, physically and mentality-wise. She might not even want to play or have the skills she has now by the time she's going to make an NCSA profile. I think this whole thing from Miami was in bad tact.

My 7 year old is playing against a little girl that is 9 on a different team from a different county (recreation basketball) and she has this kind of skill. It is amazing to watch her play - the way she can dribble, shoot, etc is exceptional. My husband and I both said she is going to dribble the ball right through college. And she does it with such ease. You can see the natural talent in her as she plays.

Utah used to make special allowances for cases like this. Basically if a player is good enough before they are old enough, they can play varsity high school sports with one catch: they still only get 4 years eligibility. So a 9 year old on varsity would give up a year when she actually enrolled in high school. Usually prodigys would move up in the eighth grade and then take some summer courses to graduate early after what would be their junior year.

Marisa - No, just keeping it real. The WNBA has no household names, very few fans, and generates no profits. The NBA has to fund the women's league just to keep it going. Also, the top-ranked women's teams aren't even at the same performance level as top high school boys teams. The bottom line is that the WNBA would have gone defunct years ago if it weren't for political reasons.

Well the last time I checked women work just as hard as men so unless you know anything about us or have played on one of our teams you might want to think twice about that because the women basketball teams may not be as good as the men's but we practice 10 times harder to get where we want to be
@assholus228
@assholus228 9 жыл бұрын
Brandi Hemphill No one is doubting women player's level of hardwork, commitment. I doubt women practice 10 times harder, because practicing 10 times harder is probably not effective at all. You got a varsity team recruiting a tiny little 9 year old to be on their basketball team. She's probably extremely talented, but doesn't change the legitimacy of my statement in regards to the quality of women's basketball.

My sister was pretty good too. From the get go, when she tried out for the freshmen basketball team they wanted to put her right away on the senior team. That being the first time ever trying out for an official team. But having arthritis, she rarely attended school. She could have done so much.

I think it's great that this girls is getting recruited already to be ahead in life. I'm pretty sure most of u guys couldn't even be as good as she is. She works at it some of u guys just do nothing and just think ur the best when really, ur not. As long as the recruiters don't put so much pressure on her. Or even her dad because some dads can get out of control when it comes to there kids sports.

Shes good, but the people she's shown playing against/with don't appear to have much skill. Playing those people are pretty much just "feeding" her stats. Put her up against good people and she would probably get blocked tons of times. Not to mention its Womens Basketball, and lets be real, generally, mens basketball players are better than womans basketball players

Answer that on ur own

I don't know why people think it's their decision to make for the girl instead of her parents. I think she knows what she is doing and so does her parents. I like what she say, "Im going to keep doing what I'm doing". That is what I would do anyways. If she want it, cool, if not, we'll that is her decision not anyone's else's. IJS.
