In this one, we turn our limited time into a fun challenge to see how many treasures we can discover in an hour and a half! I don't know how it is for most other people, but when I go rockhounding I stay out for 4 or 5 hours every time; it can be a lot of walking or work in between the good finds, so for us on the Yellowstone river, 90 minutes is hardly any time at all. BUT! The most important question: How many treasures can be found in 90 minutes? Turns out A LOT! We found gorgeous moss agates, big jaspers, nice petrified wood, and even one monster agate that weighed over 9 pounds! It was a lot of fun and was greatly appreciated to get such a great day right before runoff struck! I hope you all enjoyed this one, and I will have another one out very soon!
Here's a link to the video where we cut into that big mystery agate!: • WHAT'S INSIDE?! Cuttin...

The small petrified wood piece at 12:47 is just gorgeous! What an awesome hunt - the kind I can only dream about! I am so glad you do video hunts; that is probably the only way I will ever get on the Yellowstone. Thank you!

Beautiful finds. Love the Jasper Agates. Over here in New Zealand, we call those, Storm Jasper. The rivers of chalcedony is why they are called stories. I have found some stunners.

I love rock hounding and I'm addicted to anything remotely pretty . I have a deep appreciation for each one I keep . I honestly have about 50 , 5 gallon pails full of random stones , agates , jaspers , jade , jadeite and so many others . You mentioned that the challenge was to find .....as many.... treasures as possible in 90 minutes . How many did you bring home as the leading number of finds . You could easily add to this challenge by having everyone who participates , to submit their favorite piece overall . Then let the rest of your subs pick a winner . Just thinking out loud . Thanks for sharing these beautiful pieces with us. See you soon Theo . Cheers

My goodness that agate is huge! You found so many gorgeous rocks in 90 minutes. My favorites are the pet woods! Yellowstone agatized wood has got to be the best, most gorgeous pet wood ever! and then the agates and jaspers! Those jaspers are phenomenal by the way! Im not a youtuber, just a huge fan and fellow rockhound. And as an avid fan of so many youtube channels, it will be interesting, how many channels take you up on your challenge! Thanks for sharing!

Never a dull day on the yellowstone!😄 i knew wed get at least some good finds but i definitely was not expecting so many! Those beautiful chunks of agatized wood really never get old☺ and yes i am excited to see if anyone takes on the challenge! Im sure for some people a 90 minute hunt is the norm but thats like no time at all for us😂 we usually go out for 3 to 5 hours at least so 90 minutes goes by REAL quick

You got my shirt all wet from me drooling over all the goodies you found. I love my jaspers and I would have gone nuts. That was a fun trip with your two favorite rock hounds keeping watch. Do you ever try to ID the pet wood or is it just being spectacularly beautiful enough? Keep the goodness coming. Be happy, safe and stay healthy 😷⚒

Theo, the rock at 15:48 looks to me like it could be the petrified or mud fossilized skull of a small creature of some sort? At 15:34 there are what appear to be teeth. Really like the craziness of the agate at 16:55 and that red jasper is also a fave of mine. ( :

I am soooo sorry that you have such little variety in a 90 minute period rock hunt! Imagine just finding ONLY agatized jasper, wood and tube agates in 90 minutes. Its a wonder you can get out of bed in the morning! I would be out on a ledge somewhere if I had to face that kind of horrible agate hunting that you have to endure. I really feel for you! Keep your chin up! @#$%^^%^%$$###$$%$%^^& (it a JOKE)
