I want to express my gratitude in particular for this listening practice. I have taught myself some vocabulary in Russian and Spanish and the most difficult thing to learn is the listening and comprehension.

Useful phrases ... and also a wake up call : Us foreign speakers NEED listening practice. Reading sentences and understanding them is one thing, but listening and understanding is quite another. After all... in a conversation people don’t write out sentences ; they speak ! I was surprised at how many of the words I knew , and yet didn’t really grasp when they were spoken. Keep up the good work. I am grateful for all the lessons you make available. I would also recommend The Verbs course to everyone! ... It caused verbs in their many forms finally make sense to me. Huge thank you for sharing your knowledge in a way that makes learning Russian an attainable goal.

Thanks for your feedback, Patricia! Reading and listening are totally different skills. It´s common that students can read in Russian but can hardly understand any spoken Russian. However, listening skills can be greatly improved by this sort of lessons!

@@RussianLevel1 When reading your reply I literally translated it to "Not for what" but google translate gives "My pleasure" or "You're welcome". How does the literal translation morph into the latter? I suppose this is an example of learning a language requires thinking like a native speaker.
@RussianLevel1
@RussianLevel1 2 жыл бұрын
@@dwebman11 The literal translation is "nothing for" and the literal meaning is "you have nothing to thank me for". The English equivalent is "you´re welcome" or "my pleasure" indeed.

@@RussianLevel1 Спасибо, что быстро ответили мне. Ваша новая ссылка работает. Теперь все в порядке. Старая ссылка в описании все еще не работает. Я не знаю, почему. Возможно, есть какие-то настройки немецкой версии KZfaq или настройки безопасности моего компьютера. Но теперь проблема решена, спасибо за помощь.
