Yep! My best friend from 14 years old (I'm 45 now) was into everything heavy metal. .old school, then Korn, System of a down, Pantera, 7 dust.. I told her when we were 15.. you listen to an entire tape of my music which was rap, r & b, hip hop.. tape was The Chronic. Then I'll listen to an entire tape of yours whichwas Pantera oh andthen Primus. We did it. Both love each other's music to this day 30 + years later. She paid for us to go to the Up In Smoke Tour in Sacramento in 2000. I went to a bunch of metal concerts with her. We're still doing it to this day! ! Love having open minded friends. We have so much fun! !!!! Music brings ppl together and opens minds....

Jelly Roll. I'm happy that the rest of the world has finally gotten to know and hear you. For anyone who has just found Jelly Roll I encourage to listen to his older music. Jelly is so talented. He is one of the few who can sing country rock rap and more. I've been listening for close to 11 years now. I think. Memory is not that good from the past. I have 2 years clean now. I was so lost. For anyone struggling with addiction. I'm sure you think that your drug problem is worse than the people who have recovered. I'm here to tell you I know your pain. I know your hurt. I know your family has nothing to do with you. I know you don't have anyone. The people you associate with are dealer's, theifs, sick, hurt people. You feel worthless. Your options are death or prison. Prison I've been there. Waking up with a tube down my throat strapped down to a hospital bed, been there. Camping in a tent being under a bridge. I've been there. My addiction was as far down as you can get it. Thinking about death on a daily basis. There is hope you can change. It doesn't happen quickly. Remember it took years to get you were you are. It is a fight. You can lay down and die. The choice is yours.

Pretty much bought Hip Hop back to my small town in the UK from a holiday in Florida in 1991. Hooked on the 102 JAMZ radio station for 3 weeks solid. It was largely unheard of here until then. Still kickin' it today. 80s and 90s can't be beat!

I know what you mean, I remember listening to this as a freshman in High school in 2000. Went to a house party with all the juniors and seniors. Jamz like these makes me reminiscence the house parties consisting girls and their sporty clothing, the stanky chronic weed lingering in all of the rooms. The stench of spilled beers on the carpet floor. And dont forget, the sight of all the people in the living room, in a circle dancing to these jams. Back in the days when you weren't that afraid to ask a girl to dance - you just go on do it and its happening.

This takes me back to the High School days and my Maxima with a stereo that was worth damn near as much as the car. Ohhh, the good ole days!!!
@Jvann-xz7lo2 жыл бұрын
I hear that had a Sentra with a stereo that was worth more then the car. Lol we’re a different generation. My mom wanted to kill me when I cut the roof off, but when it came out it first magazine she framed and hung it n the wall. Then won every show I took it to. I should have kept that car my kids would have got a kick out of it.

While some great songs in hip-hop did come up before 1993 and after 2003 in my opinion from 1993 to about 2003 were the best years of hip hop
