In this video, we are going to solve a very interesting thermodynamics question. The question states:-
In a container, air is filled and maintained at temperature To. Inner surface of walls of the container is maintained at temperature T. At different values of temperatures T that are less than, equal to and greater than To, pressure exerted by the air on the container walls are P1, P2,and P3 respectively. Which of the following statements is correct?
P1 less than P2 less than P3
P1 greater than P2 greater than P3
P1=P2=P3
P1 less than P2 greater than P3
This is a very classic JEE physics question from Thermodynamics and can be easily solved if you know all the concepts.
You can expect these questions in the JEE Mains as well as the JEE Advanced exam.
In this question, NMS is has used the basic approach of change in momentum to find out the relative pressures instead of using the PV=nrT formula.

Seriously? PV=nRT V constant P directly proportional to T If temperature of the gas is more than the temperature of container it will lose some heat and try to equalise the temperature with wall of container. So P1

Yeah.i used the same concept .but was in a doubt as sir's community poll stated that PV= nRT not applicable there. The main issue is understanding the language of q😕

The kinetic energy of gas will change due to collision hence the temperature of gas should also change because internal energy changes, then how they maintain the temperature of gas To, I expect answer to my doubt,.

We deal here with ideal gases.. and for ideal gases we take all collisions to be elastic

IIT se placement nahi ho rahi he companies,all the students instead of grinding your self hard for 11th ,12th jee etc . Focus on learning skills ,now companies are not looking for degrees. Do simple bsc and start learning coding stuffs ,LEETcode etc . Jitna acha rahoge skills me utna acha placement hota he . Khud socho na agar in logo ka IIT se placement hua hota to kya ye log teacher banate 😂😂😂.
