The idea that women become unattractive as we age is absolute misogynistic nonsense. She is proof that we can be stunning at any age.
@rcair123
@rcair123 25 күн бұрын
Misogynistic? You have obviously not been spending time with many women. Women are much more judgmental about appearance as their peers age. Speaking for my self and most men I know find women our own age much more attractive then younger women. The older men that chase young women are shallow and weak but they are the exception not the rule. This woman is very attractive in many ways regardless of her age.

Maybe Mark would interview her? Mine just turned 88, born in rural Utah in the same small hospital room as her own mother, after her mother's mother went West from Arkansas right after the Civil War when her husband was shot to death (by his son-in-law) in a fight over illegal whiskey dealing.

I met this 85 year old just last week. I love meeting elderly people because they have so much knowledge! I love hearing about the old days and even the WW II is extremely fascinating to me. I asked him what he could remember, if anything, from the war. He was 6 when it ended and 1 when it started so obviously he was a very young child and didn't remember that much. He saw it through a child's eyes and he clearly had good parents because he had no trauma from it. (My father who was only 18 months when the war ended, had trauma from the war. They say children that small can't remember, that's wrong. Every time he saw an plane in the air growing up he was terrified! Grandma said he used to cry hysterical every time he heard a plane during the war. Obviously he's parents had some issues which they past on to him. No normal one year old is afraid of planes unless they've experienced something traumatic.) The gentleman told me that the children had been aloud to act and play outside as if everything was normal. There were a lot of German Soldiers where he lived since they'd built several buildings to house the soldiers just some metres away from his parent's s house. He also had a memory as of yesterday from the Victory of Europe Day, also called VE Day. He remembered the English soldiers coming to fight the German occupation. There was an English plane being shot down just some hundred metres away which he also could remember very clearly. He found this very intriguing and exiting, he said. He never was afraid. That shows me how different we are as humans. My father being that terrified at such a young age, whilst this gentleman wasn't even affected. I really love listening to this beautiful lady's story, also. I could listen to people like this endlessly! I really miss having grandparents.

What an elegant lovely lady!!! I’m loving these interviews with these older people. I worked as a CNA for over 20 years and older people just fascinate me!!! There is so much to be learned from them!!! My favorite ones were always ladies like this one. The makeup, the hair the clothes!!! I always enjoyed helping them get ready for their day and listening to them tell their stories as I curled their hair!! I have an entire photo album of pics and their memorial leaflets from their funerals. I’ve lost so many of them down through the years and each time I lost one of them it was like losing my mama!! Not all of them were great but the nasty , mean ones were very few. I had 1 lady that was just filthy rich and mean as a rattlesnake!! I took care of her in her home as a private duty patient and made 3X the money of a nursing home but my god it was worth every cent!! She actually took the cheese outta the fridge and sat on it in her wheelchair because one of the other girls that was staying there ate a piece!!😂😂. It wasn’t because she was raised poor either. She was just incredibly selfish!!!

Way too many people in the comments focusing on this ladys appearance. Walking through life with a superficial lens is a sure way to miss out on the most important parts. And you have no idea what you've been missing, I promise you.

Because people prefer beauty, as a ugly person I know. I commented on how beautiful she looked, but to be honest she seemed very self centred.

@jemmajames6719 What is beauty? I know what it means to a lot of people, but popular opinion is scarcely anything more than the history of human errors. No one looks ugly to me. Bad character is ugly to me. When I go to a garden, do I only pay attention to one type of plant or flower? Of course not. Nature is full of beauty. It's the differences of each that enhance the picture. People have been programmed to focus on frivolous things, from looks to arts/entertainment to whatever. Fortunately, not everyone everywhere has been poisoned by this ignorance. I have met some wonderful people from around the world who go beyond the surface of things. You're not ugly. Your beauty is your own. Your body is just a shell. A skin to be shed at a later date. It's not who you are. And if we're not focusing on who people are, then we're doing it all wrong.

Rita you're a treasure, I could sit and listen to you telling stories of the era you grew up in. You are very beautiful lady. My father was in the Korean war. He met my mom in England, she was an only daughter and had 2 brothers, but they didn't go to war as my grandfather had a farm. But my mom got married in England and then came to America, I believe that's where I get my independence from. I think she was so brave to leave the only thing she had known her whole life her family and country, to embark on a new beginning. Thank you for sharing your story. God bless you & happy 91st birthday 🎂🩷

As a child and later as an adult, I knew several "contemporaries" of Rita from the Los Angeles of the 1930s. Each was (in their own way) marvelous at telling their stories about those times (and places). The name Earle C. Anthony featured prominently in many of their recollections but the cast of 'other characters' who crossed paths in their lives was immense. Rita is a gem. Thanks for this precious time with her. It was a stroll down memory lane. Bless you Rita.

Rita was lovely to listen to. Very different than my own 95 year old mother views on w.w..2. She spoke more like my father’s side of the family. I sure hope I have as many marbles at that age. lol Yet I shouldn’t fear that. My mom lives alone in a new home because her previous home burned to the ground while she was in it. At 89 she punched her way through her bedroom window to flee the fire , and since then has fractured her leg and pretty much up until recently ran our 3600 acre ranch with little help.
