I doubt that... The fact that this isn't lethal, means people act in very different ways, and that would have to get trained out of them. Airsoft weapons are also used by people who do lethal stuff, but it's very specific training that doesn't make them more likely to die once they're in a lethal situation. BUT! ignoring people who have a lethal profession as far as weapons go, if you get an airsoft player and a random athletic-enough person off the street who is pretty good at the firing range, and throw them into a combat situation like in the video, but with real guns... I would think the airsoft player would do better... once they're comfortable with the real gun. On average they would have better spotting ability and so much more awareness of when they are safe and when they are not (though maybe the range of airsoft guns would be a hinderance to their perceptions, but still). I am largely talking out of my ass here, by the way.

@@dackbowland1876 , Firstly I'm not mad and secondly, how is using a firearm for a year cheaper than playing airsoft for one year? Sorry if the gun I listed was too expensive, a Mossberg 500 which is a common shotgun will run you round 350$, and 25 rounds of 12 gauge buckshot cost anywhere from 9-18$. Now let us say you plan to go skeet-shooting for a month, once a week. A range near me costs 10-15$ admission for a round of skeet shooting, every round is 25 shots between 8 stations. 25 x 8 = 200 total shots. Earlier we see that 25 round on average is 12$~ so 200/25 = 8 and 8 x 12$ = 96$. 96$ for ammo plus the 12$ admission fee is 108$ in total(if you bring your own Ammo). So in 1 month, there are about 3 weeks which means 3 times in a month 3x108=324$ in a month(I will compare the annual costs at the end). Now let us say you want to do airsoft for a month, once a week. At an airsoft park near me, admission is 20-30$ for a day of play. 5000 6mm 0.20g bbs costs around 12-20$ Now in one day let's say you use 3000-4000 in a day that isn't 5000bbs but rather 3.5/5 of the whole supply so that would be around 13$ (Edit Accidentally pressed enter) 13$+25$ is 38$(round it up to 40) for a whole day of airsoft play. An average month is 3 weeks so 3 x 40$ = 120$ for a whole month of play. So in total, a Mossberg 500 is 350, and in one month it costs 324$~ multiply that by around 12 and that is 3888$ in a year(I know one probably won't go to a range every week and if one has enough land they will be able to do it in their backyard). 350$(base price for gun) + 3888$ for ammo and range price = 4238$ in a whole year. For airsoft, if you bought a decent entry-level M4 AEG for around 200$, and in one month it costs around 120$~ multiply that by 12 and that is 1440$ in a whole year(Can be less if you don't play every week and just do target practice at home). 200$(base price for gun) + 1440$ for ammo and range price = 1640$ in a whole year. So airsoft may be less realistic, but you can't say it is more expensive than owning and firing a real-steel firearm. (Lol wrote a whole essay to refute your instigating)

@@mayoactual2065 yea full auto professional airsofts dont do that cuz that would add an extra mechanism which would require extra power and in engineering, we like to keep things reasonably simple and that extra mechanism would also add a whole lot of delay in between shots

cool factor? yes likely never have to reload? yes however, the mag weight will make the gun more unwieldy, might make it unbalanced, assuming the mag well can even hold the drum in place, and it might be less reliable, and there's a bunch of other problems it could face. tl;dr: it would probably make it worse
