There's no need to "bake blocks", but there IS a need to heat up the entire engine to retorque the head studs after the 1st torqueing. Also, an oven wouldn't get a copper head gasket hot enough to properly anneal them. They need to get cherry red during the process, and an oven won't get them that hot. You basically need an open flame on them.

I used to work for a company that made airplane deicer trucks and some of the models had this system that used a hydraulically power ATI Procharger that looked about that size, but maybe larger, that pushed air down a nozzle to blow the ice off of planes. I was told that the blast of air could blow your feet right out from under you. They were really impressive. They had a cart with an engine at the other side of the shop, where they would break the Prochargers in before installing them in the cab on the boom. When they ran them in, it sounded like a jet engine running.

That would be a little depressing to me but then again I do small engine stuff versus his big engines if I made 1600 horsepower I'd expect at least 3,700 at that boost level but there's probably factors that I'm not taking him that only apply to Big engines like on cars I don't know what his typical timing retard per pound of boost is I don't know the efficiency of the ProCharger so it's possible you're dead on
@robertashton853328 күн бұрын
Na 1400...boost 3535
@jkfonyi27 күн бұрын
The problem is gonna be the procharger not being able to supply enough air to create 25lbs of boost . The biggest procharger usually goes on a 540ish cubic inch engine . That 900 inch engine is just gonna swallow that like nothing . It will make power that sounds crazy for only 10 or 15 lbs of boost . Remember boost number is just a restriction and that bbh doesn’t have much restriction .
