It wouldn't happen though, ISS is protected against radiation and it is still partially protected by earth's atmosphere. Also for both astronauts to die pretty much in less than an hour they would need to be exposed to an extremely high amount of radiation, which is impossible to happen in the ISS even in case of solar radiation (if something like that could happen, im pretty sure nasa could detect it beforehand and instruct the astronauts to put their protective suits on). So in the case an astronaut got exposed to radiation poisoning, he would still have a day or two before he shows symptoms. Like with how pricey it is to train astronauts and maintain the ISS there is no way they overlooked the possibility of radiation poisoning due to a solar flair

​@@mylesmartin6377 There is 2 problem with this. 1 - Astronauts got extensive training just for these kind of scenario and some cases, they train for much more difficult scenarios. They really don't have a choice since mission control does not have a single idea whats happening up there. If somehow ISS change it's direction it can struct earth and possibly on city and killing lots of people.... 2 - ISS distance is 400km from the Earth. Even for the worst case of radiation, astronauts won't die in matter of minutes. %0.002 chance they will die in couple of months. But still, this episode of tv show is super unrealistic. Let's just say this unrealistic scenario does happen somehow, these Astronauts have knowledge and training to preserve data for the future space explorations. Connection to mission control is not just for help, it's for sharing data, sharing current state of ISS and future move just in case ISS uncontrollable.
