I have received my HushHush’s recently too - I was unsure about sound, initially I’m going to use a TTS decoder until I see what’s available. I won’t buy from Olivia’s ever again have had two very poor experiences, they are not very friendly for overseas buyers.

@@worthingtonmodelrailway8628 well only yesterday I read in Hornby Magazine (I think) that Locomansound have used an A4 sound recording, then tweaked it to what a rebuilt Hush Hush should have sounded like. For example, the coal shovelling takes longer, because the fireman had to walk further due to the extra long cab length and some chuf chuf or bark is louder and sharper due to some component used which was smaller than that used on the A4. Go investigate. As for Olivia's, you are not the first to moan about bad treatment. I use them because Hornby appointed them the only place to get the sound version of the then new Dublo Duchess of Atholl. Mine was very good but I heard others had issues with that supplier. It seems to me the British model railway industry has many issues, both with the models and suppliers / manufacturers. First time satisfaction seems to be a lottery. My V2 was the second, the first was sent back to Locomotion because it appeared to be electrically dead. Locomotion though were very good and arranged for a courier to pick it up free of charge.

I’ll check in Hornby magazine. I’ll have to look at the on-line version, mine arrives here in US about a month after it’s published!
