Every time I get a scam caller now I tell them I'll pray for a real job for them instead of them being a criminal. Once I said, "you need Jesus because you're a criminal". They are always shocked and hang up.

My brother (RIP) said there's a "test" you can do. When they call, you ask if the caller can confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. Almost invariably they can not. I asked my brother why they can't just say "oh sure" or something. Apparently they typically are... unable to confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, if they do not believe it? He once told a Muslim caller he'd pray for her and I think she even called back later. My brother was a man of God. He passed too soon, 2 months ago. 34 years old.

@@betsywoolbright8059 Hey, sorry to hear about your brother's passing. I do want to clear up a misunderstanding though (no offence to your brother). But, what he is saying is a misunderstanding of 1 Corinthians 12:3. This verse says "Therefore I want you to understand that no one speaking in the Spirit of God ever says “Jesus is accursed!” and no one can say “Jesus is Lord” except in the Holy Spirit." Some people misunderstand this verse to mean that if you are not living by the Holy Spirit it is impossible for them to ever say the words "Jesus is Lord". However, that is not what this verse is talking about. The verse has to do with truly living your life by knowing and trusting that Jesus is Lord. You speak that because it's what you believe. Anyone, whether they are Christian or not is able to say the words "Jesus is Lord". And, any Christian who reads 1st Corinthians 12:3 out loud actually ends up saying the words "Jesus is accursed". So they are able to say those words exactly as quoted. But they would not speak this as being something they believed in. A simple test of this is to go up to any atheist and ask them to say the words "Jesus is Lord". Obviously, some might not want to as they might not know what you are trying to do, but if you explain what you are trying to test, most of them would show you that they can speak the words "Jesus is Lord".

Good for her!!! My 74 year ild neighbor was recently a victim of a romance scam. This creep took her for $22,000. Sad thing is, she said she fell in love with this creep. She is a recent widow.

The more we elders can do this, the better off everyone is. Sometimes I just start speaking Swedish or German and they hang up after a few minutes. It's good to ask lots of questions, which keeps them on the phone longer and can be lots of fun!

I usually recite a Poem in Spanish which I learned in High School in the 1960s. It’s all about El Cid and very boring. They usually hang up! I’m 75 now but I don’t get many scammer calls now as I have caller display and don’t pick up the phone if I don’t recognise the number. Years ago I remember getting a call wanting to get me compensation for my recent ‘accident’ so I went along with it and when he asked what my injuries were I told him they were terrible and he was lucky I could even talk, as I’d been decapitated! They often would swear at me before hanging up.

We need more like this grandma…. I remember a while back, someone asked me for my last 4 digit of my SS and I said “well you should have it since you’re calling me” her response was “I need it for verification” I said ” ready? It is 1,2….” When I was to say 3 she hanged up 🤣🤣🤣🤣

My dad does this type of thing. When the scammer calls and asks "How are you doing today?". My dad starts off with, "Well not so good" then goes off making up health problems, trouble at work, all the home appliances breaking, the dog ran away. Pretty much an old country western song where everything has gone wrong. Eventually they just hang up.

Shes clever! You can be angry, or scam them, we do the same thing. I spoke in my father’s accent, said explain again please? And just frustrated them he hung up. He called to see if anyone else could speak? It was so fun. Told him I had my computer ready.. he spoke slowly, I was cracking up! In the end, he said the key is on your keyboard ma’am!!! Listen!! When I said oh I don’t have a keyboard it’s a tablet, he cussed and hung up. End of it.😂😂😂😂. Hope she posts more she’s funny.

I have done the same thing, although maybe with a bit more aggravation. It quite often ends with them cussing me out as though they were the victim, or asking me if I can get them a job. A couple have tried to intimidate me, claiming they know where I live and they are sending people over to do whatever.

I do pretty much the same thing but I’m only sixty three years old but I’ll ask them whatever pops into my head I’ll ask about family what their wearing how’s their weather but I haven’t gotten any lately though they’ve seemed to put me on a do not call him list and dang it I miss messing with them too but this lady seems like a great woman I especially loved the one that sang happy birthday to her that was awesome keep up the great work you inspire the rest of us bravo my dear bravo.

My sister gives the phone to her handicapped son, who can barely talk and makes like animal sounds. He just loves to talk to them and ramble away, until they hang up.😂
