I just played this at Arcadia in Fayetteville Arkansas. A few of the lights were out but the sound and gameplay were great. Really fun game. Really makes you feel like you’re in the movie. Well, the real world in the movie.

Sooo glad to see you folks bring this machine back to life. I had an opportunity to buy one of these machines in 1998 for $400. It wasn't functional, but it was complete. Sadly, we just didn't have the room for it at the time. The Discs of Tron game was an ok game, but the environmental cabs were so beautiful. Thanks for all the funnies as well!

You played it well Todd. This cab is undoubtedly one of the best cabs designed and built among all arcade games, and to top it off the game is fantastic to play, loads of fun ive played this Environmental version several hours. FREE?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! What the, thats outrageous! Glad it came back to you so you could finish it. Side note, the movie editing was awesome haha

Well another masterpiece by the grand masters. The work you do is flawless. I never saw one of them in the wild but I can say it felt like being 7 again and the excitement of seeing a new game for the first time came back. Thanks guys. I can see you enjoyed restoring this too. Todd never saw you on the light bikes. But maybe we should leave that on the green screen a NO NO!. Have to say for me best episode so far totally went above my expectations. Thank you.

DOT is easily in my top five ( Probably 3) favorite arcade games of all Time! I remember playing the environmental one when I was a Tween and my mind was blown 💥! When you got to the 5th or 6th level and used the turning knob to aim up and down I knew it was fake 3D but I was like it’s 3D! 🤩 Know it costs like 10 to 13 grand to own One! 😳

Zwackery (1984 Midway) also used the same up-down spinner and trigger joystick. I made a mame cabinet specifically to play discs of tron and tron, it uses the original DOT spinner control and is hooked up to a pc and 25" wells gardner monitor. Ive been watching lots of your vids lately and really enjoy your knowledge of these classic arcade games. i like your description of the inside components and how everything works. thanks TNT!

This was the game of 80's games. The environmental version with the voice of Sark does not get any better. Nostalgia to the max. Also one of the most fun games especially if you had the knack for moving the elevation of your thrown disc to the opponent. Really crazy levels as you went along and most of all the interior would light up like a pinball machine the further you got. Nothing ever was quite like this game. Played one in a museum of games years ago but the sound and lighting wasn't working correctly which really drew away from the immersive feel this game had.

Ha I remember this big contest for Tron - one guy from the arcade went - HA NO Kidding - I could play 8 hours on a single token - EASILY hit over 500k iirc. Same with many games- Star Trek? I could get that thing so loaded down Spocks voice would crackle - Spy Hunter? could play the entire DAY on a single token - limited extra lives on that though I'd finish a game - turn around and see 20 people behind me watching. Wasn't into THAT part- but WAS into mastering these games But DISC TRON ? I never did excel at BUT I really appreciated the 3-d element - that was new. Tron vs Disc Tron? eh- I might have to say- DISC wins - VERY cool sound effects VERY COOL 3-d introduction, as far as I recall - it was the FIRST game I knew that brought in 3-d. Sure it's shrinking things real time to emulate 3-d hahahahah WAY WAY WAY BEFORE OpenGL AGAIN TNT - thank you SO MUCH for what you bring forward. If I ever win the power ball lotto? You know? Even if I sent you 10 million dollars ? SOMETHING TELLS ME you would be doing EXACTLY what you do anyway - why? BECAUSE YOU CARE !!!!!!!!!! And I care that YOU CARE Let's fund some big food buffet or something so everyone can have a good time! I'm unfortunately in WESTERN PA - you're in EASTERN - awe... You know I still really want that empty tmnt cabinet. Maybe we could work out a deal, I have a Jurassic park pin that I wouldn't mind trading for the cabinet and some work done on my tmnt pinball. Hit me back. I tried calling twice with no luck.
