To me this seems like such a non issue. Your password can be stored after entering once so this is literally about creating an account in public which I've NEVER done EVER.

Ram plus is a useful battery saving feature. Do not turn this off, unless you want your battery running down with no benefit. Even on phones with 8 and 12 Gb of ram. Ram uses electricity to store data, the "ssd" doesnt need energy to actively store data.

"turn off RAM+ because its bad for your memory" while I agree, your phone battery is gonna kick the bucket an eternity before you'll start seeing negative effects from read/writes. heck I would say its better for you battery to turn it off since that is a big hit to power usage

Ok, you're of the exact opposite opinion I have. How would ram plus use more energy? Ram requires electricity to actively store data, internal memory doesn't constantly require electricity.

Remember that, sometimes, you might want to remember where a photo was taken, so think about it before you turn that option off.

Agreed. I too often find myself remembering where a photo was even taken by using that info. It's too handy to not have on by default for me.

Anyone with a little smarts about them should go into Settings and Permissions and turn off everything they feel does not need to be on. I do. I just understand how people take a phone out of the box and start using without making any changes.

Umm..... the first one. If they can see the letters shown one at a time. Can't they just see what letters you are pressing? The only time that would help is if you are screen sharing.

the phone said "Phone unlocked by Smart Lock" when he was going through the edge panels on the lock screen. You cannot access the clipboard when the phone is locked and you will need to unlock the phone to view it. The guy is very misleading and sharing a lot of misinformation. Number 3 is also not a issue at all - you can still share media without the metadata by untoggling the settings in the gallery app

You forgot that when you type on keyboard pop up the letters or numbers, disable it also or just dont input password when someone lookin at your phone, screenshare also automatic disable the screen or when recording when typing passwords, You can enable the option (remove location info) when sharing a photo, when uploading case, just remove it so they wont see, when photo is sent via messenger or what they automaticaly remove info's like location and get compressed, There's a delete function on clipboard, just clear them always If you have private or sensitive file or info's, just dont be an idi0t, thats the best way .

Actually thanks for that tip on ram plus, never bothered to check if it was on. Virtual ram is huge burden and damages your flash memory in a long run, its in my opinion big nono that its on by default. 8 gigs of ram today will run anything you want just fine

If virtual ram is only used when your ram is exhausted, then it will not be used if you have adequite ram so there will be no problem

@btcsys I believe it is used as a power saving tool. My ram plus is typically 4.5/8 GB used... makes sense, it takes electricity to store apps in ram. might as well put background apps on storage until you need em on ram. Storage is so fast these days, it's not like you can notice any delay.

Actually, 3 & 5 isn't an issue at all, since that you can still share photos and videos without the metadata by untoggling the settings in gallery app also in number 5, despite the fact that you can access the edge panel from the lock screen the clipboard is still unaccessible and you will need to unlock the phone to view it.

I know you say to turn off the ram plus which I do agree with... but how come when you show it yours is set at 8gb instead of off? N when you exit out you still leave it set at 8🤔

For purpose of the video.. I left it on to show that it's on, but I didn't turn it off because it requires a restart of the phone but I don't want to wait for all that while I'm filming. I do have it off now.

I recently visited Samsung European Community page, there one person has posted a screen shot of a conversation with Samsung Support.. It clearly stated that Ram Plus is not that effective & eventually drains out more battery.

Your password tip is rubbish. Newest password standards are to allow the last letter typed to be briefly displayed as well as allow forms to display the user's password briefly. It prevents accidental account lockouts and needless resetting. Ram plus recommendation is also rubbish. Every computer(mobile device) uses virtual ram or swap space. It does make your device respond faster and saves battery. Your permission recommendation is not completely accurate. Some apps that actually make your phone functional require certain permissions always in order to work.
