Just watched a video on a 60th floor condo. It was lovely. But while i can asthetically, intellectually, admire the really glorious vast views... emotionally i felt...exposed. Vulnerable. Tense. Even with somewhat protected "interior" rooms, overall in the primary rooms, there was a goldfish bowl effect that could be reasoned away...only just. Long term i could see that having an insidious effect on my psyche... that i would of course blame on something else. A shrink would be so $$ pleased. How could this be the fault of a mere appartment ?? Directly afterwards, i saw THIS apartment. Cosy, homey. Also lovely. But i could see myself settling into a.sofa here, at the end of a long busy day, as a sanctuary, safe from all that. A place to recharge, regroup, no longer on display. Tense... Pretty hard to do, on the 60th floor, with wrap around floor to ceiling windows. And frankly, if i hadn't seen these two videos, back to back, i'm not sure i could have explained this... I mean, they were both equally roomy, beautifully done. Prime NYC real estate...and from the first you could actually see New Jersey. And everything inbetween. For your guests, this is major bragging rights. I can easily imagine sitting there, glass in hand admiring all that with friends. Until they left... Because even better, THIS apartment had a glorious outdoor area, that someone was genius enough to green up, pulling in that green many floors below in the not so far distance...into the views and immediacy of this appartment. And this is a place i could see myself living quite happiy. And it doesn't hurt that this is probably cheaper...

Nice, I suppose, but a bit too sterile for my tastes.
