I've never experienced a final 60 seconds of a game like that at Villa Park in all of my 65 years as a Villa fan; exhilaration, relief, joy, and yes a huge bit of unbelief : can this possibly have happened? Will I wake up and find us still in the bottom three and hopes of survival slipping fast? But it did happen, we did win, and we could mock Deeney for a change! I will admit that I shed a few tears after the Konsa/Mings goal. I said to myself before the game, that we needed 6 points from Watford + Bournemouth. Not so desperate for a win at Bournemouth now, but it would be nice! Nakamba + Douglas Luis keep growing and improving! Stick with them because they have kept going through a tough spell!! Fair play that you came back to win it. I was sceptical about you signing Pepe Reina because of his age, I was wrong after his saves v Brighton and then the double save last night were very impressive. He has that winners mentality that you need and that drove you on. I don’t think Nylund would of taken charge and pushed everybody forward like that to flood the box for that final kick forward. Reina deserves as much credit as Konsa/Mings for that goal. Well done on a big win!

The most satisfying victory this season yet.

Dont care what anybody says last nights game was a must win for us just to give the lads a bit of confidence, just need to tighten up at the back and put jack back where he thrives and more importantly get samatta on the pitch just to give us an edge we have been missing out on. But can I just say that Pepe Reina is fabulous between the sticks, just hope when the loan is up we sign him to the club as I feel we could use his leadership and talent alongside tom heaton. But Esri Konsa what can i say, what a decent lil player he is. Hopefully we keep this feeling and this motivation for the rest of the season.
