In this video I wanted to show you how I mix up paints with the pouring medium I use for the blooms technique (I mix this way with all my pouring mediums). I don’t use ratios as it’s just too difficult with all paints being different consistencies so I wanted to give you a visual on how it’s done. PM to Paint measurement (estimate):
1.5oz (45ml) PM to between 1/4 tsp (1.25ml) to a 1/2 tsp (2.5ml) paint to start. If too thin add a little more paint (or even a gel gloss), if too thick add a little more PM to thin more.

Wowzers! I really love this piece Jody. The colour combination is gorgeous! I have only just started watching your channel and I am very thankful that I was lucky enough to have found you. I have never done paint pouring before but have always wanted to try. To be honest, I have been so nervous to try it because I have not been able to find a channel on KZfaq that is as instructive or inspirational as yours. You are truly an incredible instructor! Oh my gosh! That's why my paintings always crack! I'm using just behr and poly as my pouring medium and I get a lot of cracks with the tube paints. I thought it was my pillow this whole time and was adding GAC800 to it and covering it while it dries, which has helped but not with all of the paintings. Will be picking up some infinity when I can get to a lowes. Thank you 🙏 😊 Gorgeous painting!! I have learned SO much from you in the last two days than I have watching anyone else's videos.

Unfortunately Behr has that effect when used alone with a varnish I could never get it to work right but I love the clarity of it. It works well as a thickener and will add a little something extra if used that way 😊 .. I’m so glad I’ve been able to help 🤗🌺🌹💜

Hi Jodie, just wanted to tell you how wonderful you are and how lucky we are to have you explain this complicated technique, I’m in lots of art groups on Facebook and when I get lots of questions I refer you to as many as possible, hoping your getting lots of new subscribers 😂 thanks for been you, I love your enthusiasm and wonderful smile, your a pleasure to watch plus we learn so much, thanks so much 👏👏👏👏👏🌹, I add Golden or JoSonjas wetting agent diluted in water to my tube paints I do use Behr 8300 is the most clear I have found 2/1/1 Behr/ Minwax one coat/ policrylic...I love it

Hi Milly 😃 Thank you so so much for the support, I truly appreciate it!! 💜💜 I have a love hate relationship with the Behr 😂 but I’m so glad you’ve found a way to use it with tube paints! I’m going to have to try this, diluting the tube paints that way. No matter what I use though with the Behr I always get cracking even if I cover, do you ever get cracking with yours? I may have to try your mixture to see how it works for me .. it may also be my environment which I don’t have a lot of control over and do what I can but I’m so glad you’ve tamed that wild beast that is Behr and it works well for you!! 🤗🌺💜💜

I had no idea that putting pillow paint under my canvas would hold it in place. Thank you! I’ve seen many many videos and it wasn’t mentioned. It was a real problem for me. The canvases just went flying if I spun to vigorously. I want to thank you for sharing all this info in this playlist. So helpful

I love it! Mardi Gras colors, my favorite! I have an antique couch and set of chairs I always wanted to have reapohlstered in some semblance of those colors. 💚💛💜

Merci beaucoup Mike, j'apprécie vraiment cela et je suis heureux que cela vous ait plu! La technique et les composants que je fais et que j'utilise sont une alternative à l'utilisation de silicone, mais j'ai une expérience qui sort ce week-end où j'ai utilisé de l'owatrol et un peu de silicone pour voir ce qui se passe parmi d'autres ingrédients si c'est quelque chose qui vous intéresse.
