Honda Bond: amzn.to/3asikMC
Felpro Oil Pan Gasket: amzn.to/3cFDMQP
Timing Set: amzn.to/3cD6baq

That bolt at 7:25 is the AC idler pivot bolt part # 90054-P3F-000. It's a special bolt only available from Honda and is known to shear itself off around 200k or earlier if belt is too tight. Worth replacing for $8. I was hoping for a sticky because it's not easy to find this bolt's part number and this will surely help someone in the future. Mine sheared off at 212K about 1500 miles from home so I just cut the ac belt off to keep going. Thankfully Honda thought ahead and put the alternator on it's own belt so I wasn't stranded.

I'm 75 yrs old, and I ain't as good as I once was. $400 for the Milwaukee and the Lisle socket was the only choice, and worth every penny. I broke two impact sockets trying to get that bolt out. It took more time to get that big socket out of the box than it took to run that bolt out of the crank. I don't know what kind of Voodoo Lisle uses, But it definitely works.

Thanks man you just save my 99 honda crv with broken timing belt, that i was about to junk, timing adjusted easy crank and cam, thanks to your clear video, belt installed, the car starts hardly, engine light come on, because i mad a big mistake, new crank sensor dosent work, because i replace it with a cheap one 15 dollar, i wasent sure that the car.will work again so i bought that cheap sensor, and now i will not open all again to just replace the sensor, i will use the bypass that you show in other videos and replace the sensor with good one later.

Haha look at this. Searched crv timing belt snapped and yours is the first one to pop up. Noice! I expected bent valves but was hoping minimal damage to the pistons with this search. It’s hit or miss with VW’s in my past experiences. Lol looks like I’m buying a crv. Odds are a bent valve or two. Thanks homie!

Hey I got a 2001 CRV and I’m pretty sure my timing belt just went the guy at O’Reilly auto parts said he was a master mechanic he told me if I tried to start it afterwards my valves are bent he could almost guarantee but your videos giving me a little hope is there a quick way to tell if my valves are bent. @menaceemceefiend9716

@@hondaresource so to get it close I’d have to turn the crank bolt counterclockwise, it doesn’t matter that I haven’t cracked loose the bolt? It should still turn counterclockwise and turn the crank and cams wit the belt right? Just doesn’t make sense to me how if i do that everythang will turn but if I use a air impact gun on the bolt to break it loose and off it doesn’t turn anythang? I would of thought the crank pulley holder is needed to hold the pulley while loosing the bolt so that the cams and crankshaft don’t turn
