Thanks to your video. I now found a solution to my problem. I got to do bypass test and no luck but removed the door panel then saw rivbets and thought of calling it quits. Thank you.

Did a swap from manual windows in my 02 to power and it's great. If I ever need to replace the motor this videos super helpful!

I'm literally doing the same build with a 97 single cab short bed that was my granddads. Did the same lift, running 35 nitto AT, headlights, color matched the grille, tinted windows myself. Needs a headliner so im waiting to see what you do there...

Thank you for an excellent video. I have a '98 F150, 3 door, 4WD, 5.4 Litre, 2-valve, short bed Lariat I purchased new. My drivers window won't roll down at all but the passenger widow works normal. I replaced the up-down switch in the drivers door panel but that wasn't the problem. I tried the GEM module bypass wiring modification (it looks as if that has done or attempted on your truck). When I press the down button I hear a click up under the dash which I assume is the GEM module. So, after watching your video I have the nerve to replace the window motor.

When I seen this I was thinking your GEM module was going out I have a 97 lariat with the 4.6 probably going to look on flagshipone and get my windshield resealed

I have an 01 ⚡ is there a way to manually pull up the window after taking off the door panel if the switch is not working? Driver switch doesn't work at all, passenger side switch on drivers door still works fine. Not sure if its the switch or what?

Yours has rivets too. You only worry about rivets if you have to replace the window regulators (metal arm that opens and closes window).

My passenger window stopped working it went up fine last time and now wont go down no idea what's up. Hopefully mine is the motor because its ridiculous they used rivets on the regulator.
