It's a while since I edited this specific match, so I don't recall for certain, but whenever you see something like that, it is typically due to a failure of some sort with either the camera or its rigging.

I think between Mma and being local to Greensboro dropped this into my suggestions and it made me realize after listening to Daniel Cormier, Chael Sonnen, Brock Lesnar and many more from a wrestling background on top of training with some really high level local team mates on the MMA side, I am pretty much lost on what the heck is going on and what the scoring display is telling me. lol I feel like giving up the shot and pulling guard would not turn out well on that scoreboard that is very confusing to me.

Dude, wrestlers, both male and female, are freakishly strong for their size. Mma practitioners who have wrestling as a base have a huge advantage. Look up Matt Hughes or Randy. Couture in the old ufc fights. I swear they ain't human bro.😅

I suspect you might be referring to Folkstyle wrestling, whereas this is international Freestyle. Very little is illegal in Freestyle. That being said, although the lift looks like she is headed for a slam, the actual mat return is fairly controlled, so as an official myself, I don't think I would have ruled that an Illegal Slam even if this were Folkstyle.

Why can girls wrestle on the boys' teams but boys can't wrestle on the girls' teams? Why even separate the two? Just go by weight.

Typically high schools don’t have an official girls wrestling team but do have a boys team. Since there’s no official team for girls some allow girls to perform on the boys team. That’s why you’ll see some girls wrestling guys. And it’s a good idea to separate the two rather going by weight because men naturally are stronger than women.

There is a big difference between muscle to fat ratio between men and women, lung capacity, heart size, testosterone levels, bone density....it's not a simple matter of just weight, never was, never will be.
