Love how stacking the book shelves had such an impact on the space and lighting the shelves make it a real feature. Being mindful of the budget was so smart creating big changes at an affordable price. The reading nook looks so inviting and cozy.

I really enjoyed seeing the whole makeover in a single video, start to finish! It was a nice change from the more detailed nitty-gritty videos in some series. I love those, too! But it was fun to see the final reveal in 20 minutes :)

It looks really good :) I love the new bookshelf setup with the lamps. And I think it's makes every bed more cozy if you don't see all different parts of it (like mattress, pillows...) One throw can unify the look and it looks less function based :D

I really appreciate you showing us the process every step of the changes you make w the client :) When people just upload before and after, it feels daunting to take on the same for myself, bc i have this perception that i need to do All of those within a day or two. AND have a design in mind and know where everything should go. But it was really nice and realistic to see the trial-and-errors, and small tackling by areas and ‘homeworks’, ESP allowing your client the time to feel out each change in her actual daily life. It helps me have realistic expectations for myself in a makeover and reorganizing. Thank you:)!

I just love watching ❤ i learn something new all the time. Great ideas. Im always changing my living room or kitchen or bedroom (my kids hate it cause i get them involved,lol) and when i get stuck, you give me great ideas to try, thank you. The best decorating is when you can reuse pieces you already have and not having to spend alot of money.😀

Izzy! Izzy reminds me of the last cat I had, Psyco Kitteh, I was fostering her for a friend that had to move. I had just moved into a space with new home mates and her and I shared a room...I loved her company,! I was bullied out of that house, and Baybee, as she is now named, moved in with an acquaintance. She is happy and loved, and every time I hear Izzy it reminds me of Babee. ~Heart~

Oh I just had a thought, maybe she can get that IKEA mirror with an attached clothes rail behind it, the Knapper, to replace her existing one. Works as a mirror but it's wide enough to hide anything hung behind it, so she can keep clothes she wants to wear for a second time behind it but not have them visible!

Definitely my favorite makeover ! You did such a great job ! The result is so cozy and peaceful. As a Home Organizer myself, I love watching your videos because your method is good. I love that you encourage others NOT to buy organisation systems BEFORE decluttering... And a lot of decluterring video or tv shows don't show this ! Because while you declutter, you sometimes find things you can repurpose into container, storage, etc. Kisses from Paris :-)

Loved the after😊everything is decluttered and calm. I agree 100% that having a messy/cluttered environment can bring about anxiety etc... I always feel a tad anxious if my flat/apartment is untidy, cleaning and organising for me brings about a feeling of calm satisfaction. Loved the bookshelf lights, I’d switch them out for little grow lights and put a terrarium or plant in each nook, however I am a hoarder of plant’s 😅😂 but yeah it turned out really good ✌️

I love it! Gving us a breakdown of the cost and your game plan/design choices is very very helpful. I really love how she didnt need the estimated 20k...i mean thats just ridiculous. Also when i saw the after shots i thought that the apartment now looks like a model home, you know those showrooms in ikea. Everything looks calm, clean, cozy and inviting. Lovely apartment. I thought it might look nice to hang some of the plates on the wall, and would “declutter” the shelf a bit . The dividing shelf looks sooo good now !

Someone else suggested that too! I’m not sure how well they’d hold up (the walls can be pretty flimsy or made of concrete and very hard to drill into) but it would be nice for sure!

No, not really! I think we had one small one in the 7 years off and on I’ve been here! But they’re heavily weighted by the plant and we checked the stabilization together. She was comfortable with it.

This is so inspirational; I had words like living intentionally - mindfulness - calm - coming to me while watching. I respect that you took into account her absolutely lovely reading nook. That sort of chair isn't cheap and I can see what she was trying for but hadn't quite achieved before you helped her - now she has that darling classic chair and an elegant functional space to enjoy - that she's thought about and put right and I just love it - thank you.

Did you consider mounting the decorative plates on the wall above the other collectibles? Sounds like it is an ongoing collection and she will eventually run out of space on the shelves.

That's a fantastic transformation. Having recently remodeled an apartment in Korea, I can see one thing that would elevate this space to another level without having to spend $20K: interior film (인테리어필름). She could update the kitchen cabinets, built-in shelves, window trim, and molding to look cleaner and brighter for around 1 million won. Given the size of the apartment, it probably wouldn't take more than a day and there's no need to hire a design company; just hire the film crew directly. (I don't recommend DIYing it. The surfaces need to be properly puttied and primed before applying the film or it won't stick and will highlight any imperfections.)

I love the stacked bookcases. What a good idea that was! Everything looks wonderful, especially the reading nook by the window. (Great chair and foot stool!) May I ask if using a duvet as a bed covering is a millennial thing? I have always preferred a simple, tailored, solid colored white or cream bedspread over my blankets because then it doesn’t look rumpled and thus reduces any sense of untamed visual disarray. That probably dates me, but it makes my bed feel more serene to me.

We actually just left it out because she uses it daily. Sometimes I find that in a studio it's best to keep out those functional pieces that you're going to need and just own it. But also organized it so that it's pretty. She intentionally bought black workout equipment so that it would look nice sitting out as well!

When I heard Izzy meowing, I thought it was my stuffed up nose whistling and I went to blow it. Haha, I just found your channel and am enjoying your coaching. Love the white (in my case, I would choose off-white) bedding as a go-to. Stacking the bookcases was genius.
