If she's comfortable enough to be farting around you and you haven't figured it out PRIOR to her starting to fart, then she's moved on already, and you're probably in the "friend zone." I don't know how things have panned out for you in the last six months, but what you say is typical of a guy who wants to believe in something because, well, it's what he wants. "She asked me questions and congratulated me", girls like to appear nice and supportive because it's in their nature to do so. "It seemed like she likes me", well that's because that's what we want to believe. "She has had a boyfriend for two months", perhaps she's trying to get it out of her system or is in fact still in a relationship but wants "other options" just in case. Anyway, I think you should be cautiously optimistic.

Just think of some where to go then invite her to join you, Make sure you don't make it same day give her a few days so she doesn't feel pressured like if its Wednesday then plan something for Friday. I would just not: "do you like me". I'd rather ask her, if she heard all those rumors about you two, and who knows, just maybe, what she thinks of those rumors. So you maybe don't come across as a freak, yet you proceed "factually". The chances of you getting hurt might be smaller, and the chances of her not having to go on the defensive might be bigger. A big gesture (even also just asking her to tag along, or so) might already put pressure on one or the both of you - I think you might wanna avoid that. You are here asking us about our opinion after all, so I think you're maybe not actually the outgoing, self assured guy. :) Yeah, many people meet at the work place, contrary to some here, I wouldn't make a big deal out of it. My ideal date??? 🤭 Watch a concert or probably go to a theme park ( not that i enjoy rides) but it's fun and it lessens the tension/ nervousness between the 2 of you. It helps you to act natural in front of your date which shows your true nature.
