Dr Weekes was a general practitioner, not a psychiatrist. But her knowledge and help was and is better than any psychiatrist

Wonderful message. We fear the discomfort, whereas the discomfort is a door way to a better life and situation if we can learn to sit with it slowly. I think the key is to not put high goals or unrealistic expectations on ourselves. Mindfulness helps me a lot. The book 30 Days to Reduce Anxiety by Harper Daniels was a nice small book I enjoyed, as well as the Tao Te Ching.
