I love these plastic folders for storage. I have quite a lot of them. I'm half-organised and half-chaos! Working on changing that percentage! Take care of yourself.

That's a great idea. I have a cabinet for my paper. I can put the sheets in there separately or I can put a basket with pieces of paper. If I didn't have that, I'd take the idea from you very clearly. Donna thank you so much for this idea.

Kmart Australia sell a similar one to the one you got from Howards. Use it for both A4 and 12 x12. I hope my daughter will one day be pleased she has inherited my scrap room, she's called in my S-Crap room for the last 15 years. :)

This is a great idea, thanks for sharing. I inherited my mother’s craft room also. I used to say she never met a craft, she didn’t like 😊 Most of her supplies are gone now, used for my crafts or the classes I teach. The one thing I think will never be used up is adhesives. From foam tape, to floral tape; hot glue sticks, to wood glue… I guess she never wanted to be into a project and run out before it was finished.

Brief and To The Point!! You are G O O O O O O O D !!! I might add a TIP relating to o.d. 7:24 : You can use an over-long piece of cardboard, ACCORDION-FOLDED, to put behind the envelopes in an oversized box. This v e r y adaptable "tool" offers the advantage of not only holding things upright, but you c o u l d squish it if you need better visibility, or if you need to add content to any of the envelopes already filed, or just need to add more envelopes. .

If you don't have the money to buy these: go to any clothing store and ask them if they have plastic delivery bags they throw out. Most have. Take them home, cut them to size and use a little heating iron or vacuum closer to create pouches. Find a box to your liking and make the pouches at that size.

I am a messy Crafter so I need ways to store my things so I can find them easily. My brother built me a bookshelf that holds the cubby boxes and I use file folders in some of them for storing papers in collection of flat items for future journals small bits and pieces are in open cardboard boxes that fit in my cart. Larger pieces are stored and protective sheets and binders. For me part of the fun of junk journaling is the pretty constant rearranging reorganizing and finding better ways to store things. Thank you for sharing. I need to put in a disclaimer that I do not have anywhere near the crafting supplies that you are showing in your video

Thank you Donna for another great video. My craft room looks a lot like your precious mother’s did. The only thing is, my things are so scattered and unorganized that, I just don’t know where or how to begin. I have a very small craft room and I have things in the spare bedroom, the basement and my storage shed. I don’t want to get rid of my things 😢. Organizing my things overwhelms me. Sometimes I just want to knock out a wall 😊. I jokingly say that I am a hoarder in training. Any suggestions or a video on this type of thing would be appreciated. 🇺🇸 Lisa.

oh Lisa, this was how my mum felt. I am recovering from multiple surgeries so craft room organising video's would take me months to do. what i can suggest is what they call the ski slope method. start in one corner of the main room you spend the most time in. You start in the corner and and move out one small area at a time either diagonally or do one wall at a time untill you finish the room. don't think about the whole room in one go just little pieces at a time, as if you are skiing down the slope. You may (must) need to get rid of some things, this can be a dificult part but you can do it. test yourself out with some of the stuff you 'can' part with first. I'd love to know if you try this ♥︎♡☆🦋 hugs Donna

@@queenscousincrafts3095 Did you give it a go? I have an adjunct to this method. If you have a dining room table (or kinda larger open floor space even) get yourself some wine "crates" (the hefty boxes that a dozen wine bottles come to the store in), label them with broad concepts to begin with ( embossing, inking, paper, etc.). Then, while you are going through each of those sections recommended by J.J.Ideas, deposit what you find into those boxes. When you get everything divied up into those boxes, take them one at a time, and sort as to KEEP, DONATE, or THROW AWAY. Now, you can IMMEDIATELY take the TRASH O U T! Do NOT give that pile a second look!!! AND -- Without any F U R T H E R organization or thought -- corral the stash to be donated, AND GET IT O U T of the house! With all the excess distractions out of "YOUR space", you can now begin to organize those remaining goodies that give you joy. Lastly, R E V E L in a the job well and truly d o n e 👏 👏 🤝

I really like those clear envelopes, but for me, open ended ones are more convenient. I saw on a video about using “dry erase” envelopes (you can get on Amazon) and they are a thick plastic/vinyl that have a colored seam. I use them to divide my paper scraps by color. It’s funny you should show that hard drive box....I’ve been saving taller skinny boxes to make a stadium organizer. A thought on the “gift box” situation....just save a shoe box (or packaging box since you don’t really need the lid) and cover it with painty papers or patterned paper of your choice....we all have tons right?? A question on your labeling....why do you have them all in the same place on the envelope? Wouldn’t it be easier to see if you staggered them? TYFS! ❤️🦋💜

hey Cindy, i have a couple of those open ended envelopes they don't hold as much as these flap style, at least the ones i have don't. boxes are so handy to keep and your idea is great thanks for the tip! i think placement of the labeling is down to personal choice, i just place them up one side for ease of use and no measuring i guess ♥︎♡☆🦋 hugs Donna
