Hey Dan Count that day as a success. You kept her out the ditch, you ran 300 miles and you parked up safely at the end of it. Live to fight another day. Once in a while the road gods demand their tribute, you paid your dues without making the ultimate sacrifice. Tomorrow is a whole new day as yet untouched. Stay safe.

I feel really bad for all the fellow truck drivers off on the side. Because if I was there damn would I be getting n earful from my dispatcher he'd probably try to get me to pay the towing bill. You're a good driver Dan.

This video really is the true meaning of a truckers life. The real life hardship of running through bad weather like that. Sometimes it would of been better to just park it for the day rather than to put your life and truck at risk. The white knuckles at the end of the day isn't worth it either lol. Good to see you made it through the frozen tundra.

Never been stuck in the snow in “FOREVER “. Had to chain up to get over Wolf Creek Pass, 11,000 ft elev. because the state troopers said so. It was a big woop, nothing to it.

i hope u had put a extra set of fuel filters, and a couple of jugs of fuel conditioner in ur truck, back when u was home. their where u bought fuel at, ya think they had the fuel cut or i should say was the fuel the winter blend. stay safe, and the shinny side up, on days like these.

yeah-but i bet ur fuel from Arizona isn't. since u run in the south, west, and then to the north like how u do, and using so many different brands, i was wondering if u had paid any attention to it, when u fueled that morning, and it had just snowed out. that's why I carried an extra set of fuel filters, my cummins didn't like the different blends, and throw the cold weather in on it. i never had any injector trouble, but i didn't wait till the engine was crying for new filters-either. stay safe-ok.

i remember one winter when US-71 from Kansas City to Joplin looked like this after a white out. i got down to the Flying J south of KC and shut down for the night. i wasn't running a white out in the dark. quite a few fools did and a lot ended up in the median or off in the ditch. in the morning it was clear and the roads were slushy but not slick

Hey Dan, new sub to your channel. I ran that same route back in 92, same problem.. the snow was so bad you couldn't see squat and it was dark, luckily I made it to Tucumcari. I was a newbie had only been driving about 8 months. I count my blessings that day. But like you said, we made it to fight another day... SEMPER FI 🇺🇸🇺🇸👊

take her easy! Kansas is not better. Governer called a state of emergency for the West side from Salina, Ks to Colorado. I was down in the Ozark Mountains of Missouri and Arkansas. bout every way i turned roads are closed because flooding. I-44 even shut down for bout 70-90 miles worth.

Came across US287 today and it was still snow covered and icy in areas from Texas state line to Boise City. Got a little sideways a couple of times even at very low speeds.

Don't stretch your fuel...especially in the winter...the way you might have in the summer. It can become deadly not to have heat in the winters and uncomfortable not to have A/C in the summer.

Fascinating green Honda behaviour around the 7 minute mark! Some people just can't keep still... Also amazing number of trucks slid off the road although I would guess, judging by their lines, that a lot were avoiding other people due to driving too close to the clown in front? Seems like driving standards are the same the world over...

Hay ! Dan what is the difference in waiting to be loaded with a flat bed then a dry van or refrigeration is the time shorter or longer. The reason I ask because I would like to experience tarping and tying load down plus it is a outdoor activity you just don't get from van's or reefer's .

Ya gotta wonder how people get into the positions they were in on the road. People can blame 4 wheelers all they want, and why they contribute to the carnage the trucks outweigh them 3 to 1 for causing road closings and lane stoppage. Simple fact, to lazy to chain up!
