A&Z #579 - Atlas vs The 9lb Stuffed Sopaipilla Challenge at Sadie's of New Mexico in Albuquerque, New Mexico (Day #16 / Challenge #23). Hey everybody!! It's day #16 of our Southwest USA Tour and for this food challenge I'm at Sadie's of New Mexico in Albuquerque, New Mexico. I will be trying to complete their massive 9lb Stuffed Sopaipilla Challenge and finish everything within the 1 hour time limit. Big thanks to everyone who came up that day to watch and meet us!! Sadie's of New Mexico's 9lb Sopaipilla Challenge ($50):
There is an 8lb stuffed New Mexican sopaipilla filled with chicken, beef, chili, more beans, cheese, and healthy veggies. That is all topped with more veggies plus cheese and sauce. There is a 1 hour time limit to finish everything, including a basket of chips & salsa along with a dessert sopaipilla too. Sadie's no longer really offers this challenge, but luckily they brought it back for one day so that I could attempt it!!

Sadies in Albuquerque on 4th Street used to be my restaurant hang out of choice during the 1990s when I was at college at UNM (The University of New Mexico). Haven't been there since I left New Mexico over 20 years ago. It was good to see Randy at that place and how it hasn't changed at all.
