Amazing! I missed it the first time through, but the treatment is called stellate ganglion block. Can we get more information about this?

I had two stellate ganglion blocks to try to deal with my vaccine induced long covid. They didn't help me in any way at all. That doesn't mean the procedure won't help anybody, but it was nothing for me. For those considering it, it's a very simple thing involving nothing more than an injection of anesthetic into the neck. They do the blocks potentially on both the left and right sides of the neck, but they always do only one side at a time. So you may possibly have to go twice. The pain level is low and I was fully awake the whole time. It's also pretty fast. There are some mild side effects such as your voice becoming raspy and a little difficulty with swallowing. These last for only about six hours and then fade away. The big drawback to all of this is that it's quite expensive. There are two or three treatment plans you can buy, which will range from about $2,000 to $4,000. It's unlikely insurance will pay for it since it's a new and unproven treatment for long covid, but of course it's always worth checking into it.

I had those shots in my hip way before Covid came. Was helpful for pain. Now interested in trying it for smell/taste but will we have to fight with insurance to get them to pay for it is this question. 😖

I have a very powerful immune system, and likely why I've had such problems with Long Covid. My older son not only has Long Covid, but also serious Covid Induced psychosis. It's been a nightmare.
