Apples to apples race. Both sleds are Khaos 155x2.75. Identical sleds aside from different gauges. 6500' of elevation. I know these are mountain sleds and this is a flat lake, which doesn't showcase torque at all-but as far as horsepower goes, these sleds are very close. Riding the 9R you can tell it is slightly snappier than my 850 and more low end, but not by much.

Those 850’s run awfully good. They will even give a boost a run at lower elevations

850 is substantially cheaper also.

Something is wrong with the 9r ,i have used a 850 2022 for 1year and now the 9r for 4month ,the 9r is so much faster and rippier

Nice one! The 850 (red?) gives up little to the 9r, except a bunch of cash in pocket. Spend some on easy mods for the win.

Believe it or not the red one is the 9R. The wrapped sled is the 850 🙌

Agreed, I think the 900 would have the best chance of pulling away on a long hill. I will try to get video of that.

thanks for the vid i think for most riders the extra 2600$ up charge is not worth it

👍 The 9r is more noticeable with the 165 track, but with the 155, it’s hard to justify I think.

Im stuck on the fence to either get the 9r or just get a new 850 khaos 155 slash. Its hard to find somebody to give an honest answer. Is the 9r worth that much extra cash? I personally think its way overpriced.

I honestly didn’t check when I rode it. Both sleds are clutched well for the elevation we ride though.

Weird, have a 23 850 and. 23 9R and the 850 is nothing compared to the 9. Way off. Whats been done to that 850? Looked like the 850 sat up on the snow and the 9 trenched as if the suspension wasnt set right for the race/condition etc. just my opinion tho. Cool vid regardless

The 850 is bone stock other than the can. Even factory clutching. Suspension setup could definitely play a role too? I will try to get an uphill race 👍

Factory clutching on 9r is terrible. They over rev and it kill’s track speed. Best upgrade for 9r is a good clutch kit to keep rpms where they need to be.

honestly believe the 9r is a complete ripoff they are upcharging that much, turbo easy pick if youre gonna spend that money, whatever upgrades are in the 9r (lightweight crank etc) should be standard in any 850

I am honestly surprised snowest even compares it to the boost-the boost makes so much more power for only another $1500.
