Just 3 things that help with improving battery life. 1- turn 5G off 2- turn battery saver on automatic below 40% 3- check apps usage if there any issues. Otherwise it is a waste of time

I use my phone to its maximum capabilities and I just live with the fact that I know I need to keep a car charger, a portable charger and of course my wall charger. I have so many ways to charge my device that device battery life is really not an issue for me.

Same, went on some travels and destroyed by phones battery taking pictures and navigation, but I wasn't worried because I had a 20,000 mah powerbank. That is great for travelling but I can usually just us a charger when I'm not travelling.

Why do we have to do this in 2024 is the real question. I trialed the 13 pro max iphone for a bit and it was so good regarding battery life. Never had to turn anything off or modulate screen brightness

I experimented too much to save the battery on my pixel 6a from the last one year. Here are features which impact battery from high to low. 1. Turn OFF 5g 2. Turn OFF location (wifi & Bluetooth scanning) 3. Turn OFF screen attention Once I turned on all the features like location, now playing, screen attention, adaptive sound, Bedtime (in clock ) etc (all the features except Heads up). My phone was draining 10-12% every hour and running too hot. I would say you should not worry about battery. Only enable those features which are useful to you. For example now playing is not the features that I use often, so I keep it disable. Most of the features are well optimised in pixel. One more thing you don't need to restrict an app. Android is smart enough that it will automatically stop the app if the app is no longer in use or notify you. And don't remove the permission if a screen shows this 05:31 . Some system apps consumes more power if a basic permission is denied. At the end use your device as you want because you had paid for all the features. Disable only those you don't use.

@@fhsa7239 Screen attention uses your front camera to detect whether you are looking at the screen or not. It will not let the screen lock until you are no longer looking at the screen. You can find it in the pixel phone under settings>display>screen timeout. By default it is OFF.

One thing I use all the time is to turn on battery saver in the evening. I am not using my phone as much then any way so saving just that little more power for during the day does prolong the battery even if it is just a little.

Another good tip that wasn't mentioned is the haptics feature the small vibrations you feel when you text they do drain battery not sure how much but I usually keep mine off

I have been using p8pro for about a month upgraded from galaxy note 9. Battery holds for around 4 to 5 hours on average turned off alweys on display and resolution in second day still same results. I would say its not that great for me but mostly gets me through day fine, but could be better I will probably use this phone untill 2030 so will have to probably change battery there ar some minor things that i dont like with pixels but I am very happy with it and love 120hz! Great video will try some tips!

auto brightness is used when you are outdoor lot of time and speaking of wallpaper it should constanly change over time unless you are using dark wallpaper all time so that you display wont get burns, dimming the display helps you a lot, changing wallpaper is crucial for every cycle because of display burn in and speaking of display burn in use gestures instead of using buttons

Honestly I've been using OLED devices for years and have never had burn-in. This Pixel 6 I'm on now has been my phone since Nov 2021 and gets a ton of use. I keep the same wallpaper for many months at a time, and I've never seen any evidence of burn-in.

I recently started a test reducing to 60hz instead of 90hz on 5g to see if there is small difference in battery life on the daily but iPhone been on 60hz for years but at the same time they have better panels ,I'm on P7 which I received right after launch and it runs great aside the BT has cut out twice while on music but that's it

When I travel I just start extreme battery saver mode. It only enables what apps I want to use. No more background app drain.

In dev settings, enable throttle Wifi scanner. This will stop the phone from searching Wifi even when your connected to Wifi. Enabling Wifi-Calling should make less calls to radio.

Also a hidden setting Google Assistant/Gemini is always listening to you to say "Hey Google" even if the screen is locked, this is for a hands-free scenario. If you don't want this setting turned on you can turn it off in the Google Assistant setting->Hey Google & Voice Match->Hey Google toggle, you will need internet to access the settings

@@rishikeshbharali2143 yes. it saves battery and makes the animations look a bit faster without increasing your refresh rate. you can save even more if you set them to 0 but that looks a little weird and jarring when you go from one screen to another without any animation at all.

Here’s a crazy idea, Google should better optimize battery and the Tensor chips so we don’t have to sacrifice 5g or other features we actually need. This is my biggest issue with Pixels compared to the competition, their battery life sucks. In my opinion, it’s ridiculous to spend $700 or $900 on a phone and still have to worry about the phone not lasting a day. Google really should do more quality assurance before releasing their phones and optimize them so battery will last a day even with every feature on. I’m a fan of Pixels but until they get rid of all the bugs and poor battery life, I would be very cautious about getting one again.

I'm already having issues with my Pixel 8..... The charging speed is very slow, I mean very slow. It takes about 3 hours to fully charge and I'm only getting about 4-5 hours of screen time with minimal use.

I think you should run a factory data reset make sure you backup your data since this will delete and erase everything you can do it in reset options in recovery also take out your SIM card it should not be wiped but still it's better to be safe then sorry

I got fed up with my Pixel 7 and got a OnePlus 12 recently. Battery life is excellent and battery charges within 40 mins from low. The lower the battery the faster the charging speed. And supposedly the battery tech is also better with biomimetic electrolytes so battery degradation is slower.

Maybe I'm wrong, but that's not what I've read. You should be able to go from 0-100 without anymore degradation than constantly topping off at even 25-85%. What DOES damages your battery is leaving it on the charger for extended periods of time while in use or not in use. Pretty sure the new battery's choose which section of the battery to run through; in order to reduce cycles in 1 top off charge being 1 cycle, so charging more or less frequently wouldn't affect the amount of cycles, just how often you want to plug it back in.

@@experiment54 Lithium ion batteries don't work the way they say. A tesla doesn't go to 100% because of heat and full charge for extended periods of time. Not because charging from 2%- 100% is worse. By that same notion, waiting on a phone to degrade to 80%, while only charging to 80%, is effectively a worse experience because it will never be above 80% use.

None of these adjustments will give you the desired battery endurance that you need. Don't waste your time trying them. Just enjoy your hard earned phone and get a new one when you can.

Missed a tip: turning airplane mode on when on WiFi. With Wi-Fi calling enabled, calls and texts are still received. I have a Tasker profile that toggles airplane mode when connected/disconnected from Wi-Fi. Also set airplane mode radios to only turn off cellular radios.

Dude i bought my pixel 8 2 months back i use 10 watt charger and charging from 20 to 80 percent In 2 months battery health degraded 2 percent even with on 33 charge cycles Even i dont play games on my pixel 8 how it got reduced a lot Edit :- I use my phone at 60 with always on wifi and less mobile data used Don't know why it drains battery health Checked on battery health app abattery and shizuku app

Just don't get a Google Pixel phone. Charging your brand new phone 2-5 times per day (depending on usage) is not OK. The Google Pixel series is complete dog shit. I just got a Google Pixel 8 a few weeks ago and am not even able to return it due to some stupid store policies, complete garbage. Run.

Been using 60hz & 1080p settings to help my Pixel 6 Pro battery life better. Constantly have 6-7 hours SoT with moderate use. Still suck though! Note: Battery health on 89% with accubattery app. I use WiFi most of the time.

None of these really provide any significant improvement to the battery life. I used to be a Pixel 7 user and these 2 tips helped me fix the battery issues: 1. Carrying a compact powerbank with me 2. Sold my Pixel 7 for a Oneplus 11 and Nothing Phone 2, far better battery life on both
