In south Indian languages like 'Tamil' and 'Malayalam', the word 'Asai' or 'Asha' has the meaning of desire or wish. In the famous Disney movie 'Wish' the Heroine's name is 'Asha'. The Heroine's name had a purpose in it. When I saw this movie I could easily relate to this being an Indian. I too have a few friends with the name Asha.

It is actually "Chitiraiku mele" meaning Chithirai is the first month in the tamil calendar which is the month of April in the Gregorian calendar.
