I've been having this song sitting around for about a month, I've done specific eras and historical recordings and such, but never one specific Bule Britannia video of everything, since the very dawn of my channel, so now a little under six months later Rule Britannia is back, remastered and anew. I’ve added as much history and film as I could to truly make this one of the greatest things I’ve ever done, hopefully? It’s been such a wonder these last couple months with all of you, when I look back on that original Rule Britannia it’s just so weird and bizarre to see that back then I didn’t even have 10 subscribers, and made a video in a matter of minutes. I’m so incredibly grateful that so many of you have been around since then, from five hundred to a thousand to two, It means so very much to me and I hope to continue to make more and more content for you all, I hope that everyone can enjoy this video just as well as those crude early ones of mine.

Heres a few reasons: - Yeah, the songs a banger, but our anthem is great already, it's been around for centuries and you wan to replace it with an outdated song? - It was written in 1740 - We are no longer a Christian Nation (well we are but barely), "Guardian Angels" wouldn't fit. - "Britannia; Rule the waves!" yeah it's a command, but we no longer rule the waves (This is just my opinion, if you manage to get the Prime Minister and the King to change the anthem lmk.)

I prefer this over ‘God save the king’. Maybe we could take some of the slow powerful instrumental from ‘God save the king’ and put a tiny bit of that in ‘Rule Britannia’ and then we can make that new ‘Rule Britannia’ our national anthem but maybe that would mess up this song so keep as is but I just wish this was our anthem.

When this song was written (1714) Britain had not YET begun to "rule the waves" It appears that this was more or less a song of encouragement for the British mariners (Pep-song?) The British were hard-pressed against the Dutch during 4 Anglo-Dutch wars (1652-1784) and the centuries of the Anglo-French Wars (1109 - 1815) During the Napoleonic Wars; the individual kingdoms of the Netherlands were on both sides of the Napoleonic wars (depending upon who controlled the territory in question) The French/Spanish navy was a formidable force during most of the Napoleonic Wars, until after the Battle of Trafalgar, 21 October 1805.

It would certainly be easier for us if Northern Ireland was not part of the United Kingdom, problem is these the majority in Northern Ireland are happy with the current arrangement and we can’t kick them out just to save us some hassle. And yes the pre 1800 union flag is very nice and nostalgic but we have to accept how things are not how that should be.

People are citizens not subjects and their leaders should not be unelected. There can always be a time to abolish an outdated system such as the monarchy just like other horrible things of the past were abolished such as slavery, indentured labour, colonialism, imperialism, corporal punishment, the death penalty, sodomy laws, etc. The monarchy means divine right to rule by hereditary means dispite not having the qualifications and personal abilities. Just look at Saudi Arabia where the monarchy is absolute. The nature of the monarchy is rule over the subjects without a people's mandate. It's against the will of the people. In modern times, this is not relevant nor a suitable system of government according to the principles of democracy.

@@Imperial_Britannia But modern Britain is ALSO pretty inclusive now, you got black, white, yellow, brown faces serving in all branches of the armed forces, FFS Rishi himself is not exactly a poster boy for the UKIP or the National Front! Its too white for these times my friend, and many public figures in Britain would agree with that too, no point hearkening back to Enoch's "River of Blood", it wouldn't and shouldn't sit well now.

There’s nothing wrong with that. I don’t expect a Swiss patriotic video to include the Romanian immigrants or do I expect the Brazilians to acknowledge their Japanese minority. I think what he did is fine and wouldn’t be racist. Because you don’t know what’s going on in his mind or his heart to call him racist. Assuming without proper evidence is a little hasty isn’t it.
