I WAS AT THIS GAME. LOL my 1st Steelers road game and it was so cold and depressing when it was 31-13 I told my dad and my BFF after I go to the bathroom we can leave. While I was waiting in line in the bathroom I heard a bunch of cheers we had gone down and Bam scored a TD run. So we decided to stay. History was made and we ended up 2 min. from a Super Bowl win in Arizona.

All I remember is the 2 picks in sb30. Everything doesn’t matter if you can’t deliver in the SB. We were kicking Dallas’s ass and had the momentum. Our defense had the championship defense to win that day.. our coaching was Great I’m that second half. Dallas didn’t win. Neil Odonell defeated us

Bengals had already won at Pittsburgh that season too. Poor Bastards were just a gluten for punishment I the 90s. Although they finished 7-9 this season i think and this was definitely the most competitive team they fielded after 1990

As bad ass of a player he was, he had only one double digit sack season & later on had a couple of personal issues. Which I know, sacks aren’t the whole story but I think that likely held an impact on his media popularity.

Man that was a bad day at the office for the Steeler D that day. They were pretty stout around that time but they came through in the end. Also remember the morris/peagram backfield combo of those days. Think cowher liked bams style so much it made the bettis pickup a no brainer. Still have a hard time watching O'Donnell highlights given how he gave that Superbowl to the cowboys. I will always be convinced he was paid off. Sorry I'm rambling now. With the bengals no lead is safe. I lived in Tx at the time and this was one of the few times I got to see the Steelers on TV. The bengals were drilling them but you could see even at 31-20 Cincinnati was in trouble. When the score got to 31-28 I said the bengals are done. One thing that has always been consistent w the bengals is that when stuff starts to fall apart, they will quit.

Neil Odonnell is my favorite steeler qb of all time his release when in the pocket is so sweet , go to 3:10 he throws a pass to Charles johnson and that ball drops in between 3 defenders, when a qb throws the ball like that , that means he can read any def and not have a problem..Cohwer would have won 4superbowls with Odonnell but the steelers would not give him a measly 30mil contract because he threw 2 ints in the super bowl against the cowboys. hell Big ben threw 3ints in that super bowl against the packers .
@RagnarokMic
@RagnarokMic 3 жыл бұрын
Ben also consistently placed amongst the top QB's year in and year out, and will finish top 10 all time in every major stat, only falling out of QBR because of his injury last year. O' Donnel was never more than average, and threw two of the worst INTs in Super Bowl history. He didn't do anything else in his entire career.
