hiiii, my friend other friends works slightly close with melanie this WAS supposed to be on the album and it was a song that she wanted to do but the reason she didn’t release it was cause she would constantly have voice cracks and it kept getting on her nerves 😅 plus since she’s the type of artist to actually sing the songs in her concert than yo lip sync then like other artists she knew it would be a problem due to her voice cracking ☹️

I think she just saying he did the bare minimum in their relationship. I initially thought this too because she used specific feminine and masculine terms to it. However, i think she's saying he planted a "seed" of love in her and she started to grow (develop) feelings for him and just as she is falling in love and he's probably taken what he wanted (sex, etc. "lay me on a bed of dead roses though" could be interpreted as, sex without love and intention. it's just empty lust he has for her while she's giving everything to him), he leaves her heartbroken without an explanation because he's not putting in the effort to build this relationship and grow the flowers. He's impatient and picked at her fruit before it was ripe, before she was ready to give it to him, he was just hungry for what she had. He probably can't handle making it through arguments or disagreements, or maybe he made her fall in love knowing he wasn't ready to take her seriously yet. He left her to dry and she's wondering, "Hey where'd the water go that he was giving me? "He was so nurturing, he was like a gardener to my garden. Why did he nurture me like this just to take his sunshine and water away?". He "dug out a hole and sowed, that's where your body goes" he dusted the dirt off of her heart, opened it up, planted his love so it's deeply rooted in her heart. She was heartbroken by him, and when he left her to dry, he left a hole in her heart. (Sorryy for the long paragraph, oh my god lmaooo. this is just my interpretation, DON'T take my word for it, but your perspective is way valid too

Girl what. The instrumental are made by DreamCory, its basically a portal type beat but NOT made by Melanie Martinez. DreamCory produce various of instrumental that is related to Melanie Martinez, including the extend version of Angel. Summary: This isn't made by Melanie Martinez, DreamCory herself produced the Instrumental. @@loveqieThe DEMO versions, tunnel vision almost didn’t make it, but I think it just made it on to portals because it is an actual phase of the afterlife and the leaked one wasn’t the final version. But songs like dragons blood and garden were scrapped already, and were final versions, so there’s no other way she could release it because it’s all leaked.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I think in this part (1:21) she says "jardín" which means "garden" in Spanish. I think this because it wouldn't be the first time she says something in Spanish and I also speak this language so it's easier for me to listen to it that way. I don't do it to hate just in case it can help someone.

ngl these fcking comments are really confusing the hell out of me. I know she doesn’t like us listening to unreleased songs, but there’s comments saying it’s good to listen and not just forget the effort that went into making these songs… I don’t know honestly. I don’t want to just ignore her effort and I want to support her, but, she doesn’t like it- atleast when we listen to unreleased songs NOT with the intention to support, but just to listen. Portals is done, and I’ve heard she’s working on another project, so is she ok with us listening? Because when her other albums were done, she was okay with us listening to unreleased music since it wouldn’t be used in a new album. So is she okay with it now?

Hey! She made a post a little while ago (I’m sorry I don’t remember the post but if you research you might be able to find it) but it said something about how now, listening to her unreleased songs BEFORE the portals album is okay, but she asks any unreleased songs made after the portals timespan don’t listen to them :)
