After recovering from my broken jaw I've returned to spread automotive mediocrity. This sad excuse for a Corolla was only $850 and I think it was well worth the monies

Bought a 1995 Dx 1.8L with 255k miles for $1400 two weeks ago, the previous owner took very good care of it and had put new tires and new battery on it. Runs and drives like a dream. I get 35mpg!

I just like how ridiculously reliable this particular gen of Corolla is and I'm not one to drive new fancy cars, I could buy 10 cool old cars that I can actually fix myself or 1 new car that is all computers and wants to spy on me for the same price lol

I have a '95 Corolla wagon with a 5 speed manual and 156k miles. The PO took good care of it so the only thing I needed to do was to install the clutch safety switch (which he kindly left in the glove box). Having just sold a 2020 Hyundai Accent with 6k miles, I can vouch that the ride and handling is amazing on this 27 year old car.

There's a grommet underneath the brake like switch if it gone you'll feel a hole where the old grommet goes try that first before tackling brakelight switch
@vader0ne Жыл бұрын
Hey Jim I just bought a 98 and was wondering about the switch just above the park on the shifter housing. What is it for?
@jimmyjimjims7483 Жыл бұрын
Some years have a switch, and for some years its just a plastic cap (with a switch underneath). For the years where its a switch it allows you to put your foot on the brake (while holding the switch) and manually change gears while the car is off or without power so you can roll it in the event the battery is dead

Hello Jimmy. We have this Corolla in our family since 1993. I'm from Europe and I'm looking for the badge on the trunk. Can you please help me with the size of it because the Toyota dealer says that it's not available anymore? I want to order it from aliexpress and I need the correct size because I've already purchased badge but it's too small.

@jimmyjimjims74832 жыл бұрын
I used to just buy clunkers to have fun with but eventually I got a dealer's license due to legal issues and such. The good/nice ones go up for sale and the older ones I keep for awhile (like this Corolla).
@thewags47202 жыл бұрын
Oh ok I was confused because you keep saying “ the lot” and I was kinda excited to see what cars you have but I guess that’s just a saying
@jimmyjimjims74832 жыл бұрын
I have a small lot that I keep upcoming cars/for sale cars on, the problem is my phone # and address are largely displayed across the whole front of it so I can't show it on video or people will call me/show up randomly to harass me (which has happened before). I tried to edit it out of some older videos but my software only blurs stationary objects so I just don't film there and took those old videos down. Eventually there will be videos there but I need to fix the place up first and get some better software, looks like a dump lol
@thewags47202 жыл бұрын
I meant like a website that would be kinda cool I drive through El Paso quite often and you seem to acquire all the weird cars I love like that Plymouth or the previa so one day it would neat to go by a small little lot with cool cars for sale
