A-1 Rental’s commitment to our customers during the coronavirus situation and always.
To all of our valued customers, we appreciate the trust you place in our A-1 team to help ensure your events are the best they can be. As the coronavirus situation is evolving, we want to make you aware of new policies and practices that we are putting in place to add extra protection measures for your safety and flexibility for your peace of mind.
We are taking a two-step approach in response to the coronavirus situation:
1. SAFETY
In our 28 years of business, our company has always prided itself in being an industry leader in regards to quality, safety and cleanliness. In response to this situation we have ramped up our already exceptional cleaning practices for ALL of our equipment. Our goal, in this time and always, is to ensure clean, safe and sanitary equipment for our customers and their guests.
The steps we are taking:
 After each rental, when any piece of equipment is returned or picked up, it is placed in a designated “to be cleaned” area in our warehouse, away from clean equipment.
 Each and every piece of equipment, including any/all accessories, is thoroughly cleaned using an OTC, non-toxic cleaner (Simple Green), Lysol, a shop vac (when applicable) and a pressure washer (when applicable). All cleaning towels are washed with bleach and detergent after each use. All shop vacs are cleaned after each piece of equipment.
 A two-step quality control inspection is done on each piece of equipment after cleaning - the cleaning crew supervisor and warehouse manager visually inspect and test (if applicable) each piece of equipment before it can be put back into rental service.
 When equipment is rented, there is a joint inspection with the customer at the time of delivery or customer pick-up.
 COME SEE FOR YOURSELF! We have an open-door policy and welcome anyone to come in and see our cleaning operations for yourself. We know your children will be stir crazy with 3 weeks off school, so make sure to bring them along to test the equipment! We are the ONLY inflatable company in the tristate with such rigorous cleaning policies and a customer-friendly warehouse.
At our office and warehouse, our employees are taking extra precautions to clean and sanitize common surfaces (counters, door knobs, handles, etc.) each hour. We have hand sanitizer, soap and tissues available to use by all customers and staff. Our employees' health and safety are also of the utmost concern. We are keeping our employees up-to-date with the latest information from the CDC and are encouraging team members to stay at home if they are sick or showing signs or symptoms of possible illness.
We also ask that you please follow the below guidelines:
 Please contact your doctor if you have flu-like symptoms.
 If you feel ill, have a fever or flu-like symptoms, please stay home.
 Continue to practice good personal hygiene by washing your hands regularly as well as using sanitizer.
 Please cover your mouth and nose when sneezing or coughing.
 Do not share drinks or food with anyone who may have been recently sick.
2. CONTRACT/ORDER FLEXIBILITY
We understand that everyone has been affected by the coronavirus situation and that school/church/ organization/event closures and cancellations are out of your control. Because of this, we have enacted a temporary policy that will allow for more flexibility if you need to cancel or reschedule your upcoming event.
“Implemented 3/12/2020 - Temporary Policy adjustment to ITEM # 11 of the RENTAL AGREEMENT
In the event of Coronavirus issues (Covid-19), the lessee may reschedule the date of the rental to any day that the rental equipment is available excluding holidays... as long as the lessee has notified A-1 Amusement & Party Rental Inc. at least 48 hours prior to the day of the rental. IF CANCELLING OR POSTPONING, ANY DEPOSIT WILL BE POSTED AS AN OPEN CREDIT ON THE CUSTOMER'S ACCOUNT TO BE USED AT ANY TIME, WITH NO EXPIRATION DATE. If you are calling after hours, and have a problem, please call our 24hr. emergency number which is listed on the front of your contract and rental agreement. If customer receives leased equipment lessor's obligation to furnish equipment has been met.”
As we have for the last 28 years, we appreciate and value each of our customers and their support. We will continue to monitor this situation and adjust as necessary, keeping you informed along the way. We will get through this together, as we have during past national issues.
