Custom loadouts and even more modern cas, we just need ground lock for target acquisition without a TV or laser guidance since half the time you will lock onto something and it will either bug out or lose tracking or fail to launch for no reason other than jank

The big blunt nose, the engines hanging off the sides making it look like it's carrying the plane rather than pushing it, the long *THICC* wings able to hold a massive payload, the double rudder and a big'ol Gatling gun on the front. Be honest, we love it because this is the warplane we would draw if we were in 1st grade and IT'S REAL.

I know why I love the A-10 personally....running joint operations/wargames with USAF back in the early 90's right after Desert Storm and watching how these things hunt. Going in with bombs, Mavs, and guns they sneak in like cats and likely the last thing the enemy ever heard was the slight whine of compressor blades as the Warthog dropped its nose for airspeed. Edit: And the day I landed in Seoul and there were 2 A-10 on the next runway taking off with full battle rattle to go fly the DMZ. It was....majestic.

It brings a tear to a grown man's eye to watch Phly *really* loving his work today.

Ballistic computer for rockets and guns, 6000lb bomb load, and a combination loadout featuring individual 2,000lbers + mighty mice. Sad the bagel panzer rounds were neutered though at 8.7. for anyone who's wondering about the cockpit bug showcased expertly by phly himself. its the cockpit smart weapon aiming system thats causing it. (or the mfd mode 1) to rectify go to your multifunction menu press 7 for mfd mode and 1 to change mfd mode

My senior aircraft design capstone professor was on the original design team of the A-10 way back in the late 60s and early 70s. That course was absolutely freakin awesome, he'd always share stories from the development of the aircraft. Such an interesting guy

I grew up near an Air Force base where several A-10s were stationed, and could see them in the air every once in a while. Truly one of the coolest planes ever devised.

And after years of playing War Thunder, he finally gets to upload a video of it being officially in the game

The A-10 performs surprizingly better than I expected. It can take out pretty much any ground vehicle in the game with it’s cannon and dodge/survive AA fite pretty well.

I love how there's an early version pack to allow test flights... was blown away how agile and maneuverable it was minus turn radius... wow.. not to mention how as a fighter support is armed with bombs or rockets or both for bombing run support in tank battles

I personally love the A-10 because I lived in Tucson, AZ for a time and I loved watching them fly overhead out of Davis-Monthon AFB growing up. 🥰

I crewed the A-10 for a few years at Davis Monthan and we used to crack jokes about how the A-10 could have a bird strike on the front and on THE REAR of the airframe. 😆 It's awesome to have in game now...seeing it and hearing it both just makes me smile. 😁 I was also lucky enough to be able to call one down for a live fire on the Eglin live fire range one night at TACP school. GOOD times building those 9-lines!

Gaijin literally removed the Sagittario II's AP ammo belts for being "OP" and then fucking adds the A-10. Absolute bullshit.

The A-10 isn't even my favorite aircraft with an F-16 flight stick or F-15 throttle, but I'm happy its here :) (JK they didn't give it the F-16 stick or F-15 throttle until the A-10C)

As soon as I saw "MA" on the tailfins, I knew exactly which base those A-10's came from, I used to serve there.

Fun fact the A10 is basically a flying tank pilots have come back after fire missions with only one operational turbine and riddled 2ith bullet holes making the plane virtually swiss cheese and the pilot unharmed. Also in situations where the planes hydrolics fail the plane has an old school analog type pulley systems so the planes flaps and rudders could still operate pilots who've been for ed to use the pulley systems say it takes muscle to make everything happen but it just keeps on keeping on.

I was up until 6am playing. Waited for the update at 1am my time and didn't happen until 1:30am. It was insane though, every game had us facing Americans and EVERYONE was using the A10. Last night alone I probably witnessed over $5000 worth of A10's. Super excited for the Frogfoot and the Tomcat!!

I was watching this video on my TV as my cat was resting on my lap. When 14:24 came along and I saw what happened I just screamed "Nooooooo!!!!" as did Phly, and it scared my cat to the point where she leapt off of me using my gut as a launchpad. That hurt twice.

Why I love the A10? It legit saved my life twice. The rest you will have to read in documents that have blacked out lines on them.

I was doing some tests with the Mav and if you have some altitude you can smack thinks up too about 9k's. As dad said, you gotta compensate for the drop it has, but the thing tracks like its on a string if you can dial it in.

That intro was something else. Like in a dream running fast but going nowhere
